Popular Post Georgealbert Posted 21 hours ago Popular Post Posted 21 hours ago Pictures from responders. A fire broke out at a cannabis cultivation facility in Jomtien on the night of 13 February, sending clouds of smoke through a nearby residential area. The incident left some locals feeling dizzy, while some foreign tourists reportedly found the situation amusing. At 22:05, the Land Public Disaster Relief Radio Centre received reports of a fire at a four-storey commercial building on Soi Welcome Jomtien, Bang Lamung. Emergency responders, including firefighters and Pattaya City police, were dispatched to the scene. The fire was concentrated on the second floor of the building, which was used as a cannabis cultivation room by Little Christiania Co., Ltd. Firefighters worked to contain the blaze, but the smoke made their efforts challenging. Due to the nature of the burning plants, the fire produced a pungent smoke that spread throughout the neighbourhood. It took over 30 minutes to bring the fire under control, though the lingering scent of burnt cannabis remained in the air long after the flames were extinguished. Many responding officers were seen covering their noses to avoid inhaling the fumes, after suffering some mild effects. Ms. Kanjana Fangsantia, 40, the facility’s manager, confirmed that the company had received official permission to cultivate cannabis for medicinal purposes. She speculated that the fire was caused by an electrical short circuit in the lighting system used for plant growth. The estimated damage is around 200,000 baht. Following the fire, residents and tourists in the area reported various effects from inhaling the smoke. Some locals complained of dizziness and headaches, while others were left with red, glassy eyes. Meanwhile a number of foreign tourists were seen laughing and giving a thumbs-up as they enjoyed the unexpected turn of events. -- 2025-02-14 2 5

chondan Posted 5 hours ago Posted 5 hours ago Years ago the Govt burned 3 10 wheel trucks of weed in Saraburi as a show of a crack down. I just happened to be in Saraburi visiting a friend at that time. We rode our mc to a hill near the site. There were over 200 farangs from Bangkok at the site. Including 4 of my best friends that I had not seen for quite a while. We enjoyed the party on the hill. Some of them camped over night. My friends from Bangkok stayed the night with us at a house in Saraburi. That night I went to the local police station (I was fluent in Thai). I bought 1 kilo of weed for 100 baht and gave it to my Bangkok friends. I was always invited to spend the night at their house in Bangkok and saved my hotel allowance whenever I was in Bangkok on official business. Those were the days my friend.

One hell of a dream or just pure fantasy.
