FAA staffers, National Defense Personnel even security staff from nuclear weapons facilities axed without even knowing what role they provide. Im all for getting rid of waste but you don't slash and burn everything in a scorched earth approach to do it.

Correct, Musk does not authority to make any decisions on programs, on hiring, firing, access rights and what not. 

 

But the President does, and the President can choose to do or not do what his advisors recommend.

Very well said, and that is exactly my point. Many of us would agree with the fundamental reasons behind trying to clean up the government and trying to eliminate waste, but Trump is a rather dull bull in a China closet, and he's a ridiculously dangerous man. So is Musk the fool. 

 

It's going to take quite some time for his followers to start learning more about the man, and realize that he is not the man that they elected, not by a long shot. There's nothing about the man that is for the people, it is all about big money and corporations.

Add in that not that his lawyers identified Musk has no authority tge lawsuits where he has been involved will become more problematic. The EU leaders are stepping on his attempt to negotiate the peace deal with Russia direct  does not bode well for him

His threats internationally is a disaster. The usa should  help facilitate peace talks along with all the eu countries that supported Ukraine. Its not USA or trumps place to try to create a deal with putin and force on Ukraine. I can go on and on but if you cant figure out what I believe the problem in the equation is Trump then I cant help you.

Your comments have no relevance to what I posted. It has nothing to do with the elimination of waste and you cultists can't seem to think clear enough to see that Trump and his minions are illegally firing staffing from agencies and shutting down critical functioning agencies and its being done by people not elected to the position and in the case of Musk not authorized to make those decisions.

 

I think most everyone is for cutting out waste and useless govt and I have never said there was no waste, ot about the manner its being done.  You don't burn the govt to ground to do it. You use the powers already in place and common sense. Think about it and pull your head out and see whats happening.
