Fight On Beach Road

Featured Replies

The Pattaya Police were requested to go out to in front of Mike Shopping Mall on Beach Road in the night of 7th August since a group of tourists were dealing with some difficulties.

On arrival in front of the mall, the police met 5 tourists from Oman who were all in a very disturbed mood. They could not speak English very well and the police could only catch that one of them was attacked by 3 Thai men and was also robbed of 2,000 Baht.

The police tried to calm the tourists down, but it did not work, so walked around to ask vendors what they saw.

Vendors stated that they saw these tourists shopping around and then the group had a fight with a group of three Thai men but no one got injured. They did not see any robbery occur other than the fight.

The police tried explaining to the tourists but they continued on yelling. The police had to escort them to the police station to calm them down, and possibly get an interpreter for more questioning.
