At last you admit that you post nonsense.

Was your AI minder switched off when you broke ranks and made that admission?

There is much good sense in nonsense.

Surely you realize this.

Talker - why are people so stupid? Why can't idiots learn to drive?

Listener - stay calm. They are idiots but you can still enjoy life.

Haha....

Nice One!!!!

But, hopefully, one's inner monologue is not limited to such unenlightening banter.

Who would want to and why?

PS;  Can AI/BOTS have an "inner monologue"?

While current AI and bots do not naturally have an "inner monologue" like humans, researchers are actively developing techniques to train AI systems to essentially "think before responding" by simulating an internal reasoning process, often referred to as an "inner monologue," which can significantly improve their reasoning and decision-making abilities; a prominent example of this method is called "Quiet-STaR.".

I remember seeing this psychology book in the library many years ago.

I'm a happy strong frog. Those humans got nothing on me.

Dear Folks,

I would be very much interested in knowing the state of your inner monologue.

What do you typically discuss with yourself?

Do you sometimes become annoyed at the inanity of it all?

Are you able to turn it off, at will?

Or, does your inner monologue sometimes become overwhelming?

I am sure that having a good and healthy dialogue with oneself is necessary for many reasons.

One of which might be planning one's next move.

And, just so many other benefits of talking to oneself, you just cannot believe.

What do you think might happen to you if your inner speech suddenly up and left you?

Ever thought about it?

Do you ever find yourself discussing bizarre topics?

I do not.

But, I imagine some of you might...or...

Am I wrong?

Let's all share how healthy we are.

Best regards,

Gamma

In psychology we have a term:

"The inner child"

Probably you read about?

If not I recommend you to do so.👍

I think you got it ass-backwards.

The point is, it is GAME ON to try to observe the steps taken by an AI to cough up whatever it is that it coughs up.

Therefore, one can ask the AI to list these steps, as can easily be done with DeepSeek, for example.

But this is different from training the AI to "think before responding", from the beginning.

I am sure that you understand the distinction:

One is not teaching it to think before responding.

Instead, one is asking for the steps taken to reach any given output.

And, if you call this "reasoning", then...OK.

But, you got it ass-backwards, anyway.

Nothing to do with inner monologue, of course.

Still, nice of you to add your inner child here.
