OneManShow Posted yesterday at 02:38 AM Posted yesterday at 02:38 AM A few months ago they found me at fault in an accident. The motorcycle (sport fast motorcycles) rider with a broken leg (required surgery) and in the first matting at police station I paid him 35000 + both vehicles inspection fees (however one of police officers suggested my wife not to give him too much money) till he gets paid by insurance. I have a 1st class Tokyo insurance, but the rider lawyer says the insurance not paying enough and asked me to pay more. If you had such experience please tell me your story.
JAS21 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago If you have first class insurance you should let the accessor appointed by your insurance company deal. Doesn’t your policy say cover up to 200,000baht medical expenses per person injured. Look in the right hand column of your policy. I don’t understand why you gave any money. Let your insurance company deal. If his medical bill was above 200K then guess bad luck for you. 1
Etaoin Shrdlu Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Did the lawyer present the rider's demand in writing? If so, forward the letter to your insurance company and advise the rider's lawyer in writing that all future correspondence or discussions must be directed to your insurer. If the request was verbal, advise the lawyer that he needs to contact your insurance company and decline further discussion with the lawyer. Advise your insurer of the lawyer's approach in writing. The best way to handle vehicle accidents is to contact your insurance company right away and not pay anything out of your pocket. Let the insurance company handle everything.
