To be a leftist, is it a prerequisite to hate the west?

I think of myself as progressive, id rather things progress rather than stay the same or go back to the way things used to be. But todays progressive seems to want the west to “progress” into third world countries. Do any of you know any sane leftists? I think if they loved their countries they wouldnt be leftist

Some are just loyal to their party, like my dad. Once he became a US citizen he registered democrat and never changed no matter how bad things got

The left does the exact opposite of whatever the right does even if it’s self destructive. For the left being progressive actually means to be digressive. Their sole purpose is to oppose as they sink further into their filthy state of demoralization.

It is impossible to achieve the beautiful socialist future if Western values of freedom, hard work, equal OPPORTUNITY, free markets, etc, and their adherent exist.

 

This the West must be destroyed and all things that interfere with the "will of the people" eliminated.

 

The best part is all the lefty trannies and homosexuals  and furries and other wierd perverts, who form the tip of the spear against Judeo Christianity, will be the first ones at the ditches. Free thinking is inimical to the Socialist future.

Excuse my ignorance of the USA political scene but ... I often see this stated; "... registered (party xyz) ... " in US-related reports. Is it REALLY necessary to 'register' as a particular party's voter or is it a choice whether or not to do so? Does it then mean you can't change your mind spontaneously, without re-registering for another party? To officially 'register' seems an odd thing to do, in my view. Please explain.

In many states it’s required to be registered to an affiliate party to vote in the primaries. During the the national election anyone can vote for whoever they choose. Personally never registered to any political party, so wasn’t able to vote during the primaries. Though that wouldn’t have made any difference because the state I’m from is run by the criminal left.

You register to vote in Primaries. Im still a registered Democrat,  now for 50 plus years, I watched them turn into National Socialists.

 

You can vote for whom you choose though, except for primaries.

I think first of all you have to qualify what you describe as a leftist. Do you consider every Democratic voter to be a leftist? Are you one of those people who labels a Democrat as a Socialist, Marxist or a Communist too? I certainly don't. Those are just ignorant and hateful slogans, from my point of view.

 

I've been a democratic voter my whole life and I'm very Centrist. I do not like the extreme left, I do not align myself with the progressives, I despise woke and PC, I approve of the death penalty, I do not approve of abortion past the first trimester and I have a myriad of other positions that would make me a conservative by the standards of most of my Democratic friends. 

 

So please elaborate with more clarity, if you care to.

I do not consider every Democrat a leftist, but unfortunately, Democrats typically vote for leftists. If you guys quit electing radicals, you'd win in a landslide.
