If anybody thought that Trump was was sane, I think on a daily basis he's proving this to be untrue. The man is completely unhinged, every day is a new adventure for him. Every day he continues his sa

I feel sorry for the people in the EU, it seems like it's dying a slow death.

That picture is of slaughtered children, mortared at a crossroads whilst fleeing from the Russians.

"Got to take the rough with the smooth"

You are in a really dark place!

Surely stopping the war so that no more children are slaughtered like that is a good thing?

Or is revenge more important?

😂 Haven't heard that in years. Thanks for posting. One of my dear old Dad's favourites.

I enjoy the music of the 1920s to the 1990s but after that I have a problem understanding the words and music.

Not a question of revenge.

If we give in to Putin's aggression the next crossroads to be mortared will be in Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, or most probably in the Suwatki Corridor, the bit of Poland which separates Kaliningrad from Belloruss.

The cult followers are so blind.

The US without the EU is nothing. And vice versa, but I think the EU could survive better without the US than the US could without Europe.

Hopefully we will find out soon when America retreats up its own backside and is cut off by its former EU partners. The world will laugh.

The USA sat on the top of that tree because 1945 left it as the only major economic power. Europe was devastated, Russia and the UK worn out, and China was riven by civil war. By the 60s Europe and the UK were up and running again. China has emerged in this century. As @Patong2021 and @soalbundy have pointed out The US practice of short term profits and "vulture capitalism" (wonderful précis that!) has hindered investment to allow for effective competition, and combined with the failings of their educational system ensured that they will fall ever further behind. Their obsession with maintaining a massive military hasn't helped.

For sure, their economy is big enough to sustain itself within any barriers it may erect or has already erected, but it will continue to fall behind the rest of the world. It will trundle along in isolation, and isolation will increasingly make it irrelevant to anyone else; perhaps a bit like the Republic of Ireland was until it opened up and joined the EU. Ireland had the vice like grip of the Church, the USA is falling under the vice like grip of the oligarchs. I am unlikely to be around to seethe word in 30 years, but I bet the red hats will have faded!

The US could not exist without Mexico, Canada and China. End of story. The US consistently overestimates it's influence which is declining dramatically and will continue to decline over Trump's lack of leadership.

Same with Ukraine. War over without US equipment.

No, it's the European Union, but going on that measure the United States of America isn't a country either, it's just a union of Separate states.

What differs is that the United States has a Federal Government and a Federal Legislature.

Dismantle the former and emasculate the latter (as rather appears to be a work in progress) and you are left with a collection of separate States. If that becomes the case, what will for example New York and California have in common with Alabama and Wyoming - politically socially and economically nothing at all.

Say what ? lol
Only in your dreams.  Please tell the class what the EU does for America that we couldn't live without.  I'll wait since I'm still waiting for one of the blowhards to show his sources for starving American children caused by Trump

Not a complaint, just an observation, it is as it is. I personally hate the London accent, it took me years to get rid of my own.

Do the people that support trans in the military, also support taxpayers having to pay for their gender surgeries, gender medications and gender psychiatric care both while they are in the military, and for the rest of their lives?

Oh dear. It is bilateral, do you understand that? Not only would you lose access to all of Europe's products (of which pharmaceuticals are a major component - essential medicines would be gone overnight), all the tech and data you get from Europe (look it up) gone, intelligence and military cooperation gone - you also lose everything the EU buys from you. The EU is the largest importer of US oil and gas for example.

EU investment in the US is worth something like $5 trillion. All the millions of US jobs involved in EU exports and EU investment would be gone overnight, your oil and gas industries would take a major hammering overnight.

If you are such a blinkered cult follower that you believe the US wouldn't suffer major economic and social impact without the EU then there is no hope for you. Personally I hope the US does cut itself off (or is cut off by others) as you deserve a few years of serious introspection. If you don't know how the world is looking at you right now you are truly blinkered. Vance and Trump's behaviour yesterday with Zelensky was truly appalling.

If you think EU manufacturers with operations in the US are going to pull up stakes and abandon the market, you are delusional.

Another blinkered person who can't read. Try again.

It was a question of what would happen if the US severed ties with Europe. A Trump fan boy claimed the US didn't need Europe and basically wouldn't notice. I was pointing out how blinkered he was and how closely intertwined the two are and what the consequences would be if ties were severed. Got it?

Fan boys think the US is so almighty it can exist on its own. They just don't realise how interdependent the two entities are. Go, cut yourselves off,, it will be funny.

No cult follower here, I personally can't stand him.

There is always pain with any change. Would it be painful for awhile, yup. In the end theres not a single thing we get from the EU that we couldn't get elsewhere or produce ourselves. It would require many business's to pivot in another direction or die.

I personally don't care how any of the world looks at us. I only care that America takes care of America
As for the video, the American public needs to see exactly what they saw, how the real world works.

Grow up, what has Zelensky got to do with it? I made no mention of him, Ukraine or the war - it is in no way related to the topic, not even close. Seriously, what the hell is wrong with you? Are you 13?

Such a blinkered fan boy that anyone who says anything against the almighty US must be a "Zelensky fan boy"? Er, what? Surprised you didn't bring Hamas up to be honest - try harder next time.
