How is it that there are so many dumb people living in Thailand and they are seemingly immune to consequences although they dont have 300 billion dollars?

I think you might need to revise that 300 billion downwards a tad. Some estimates suggest a reduction of 148 billion in net worth.

It's not only SpaceX and Starlink. Tesla itself is now more valuable in the AI/Robotics field than as a car maker, which is what many people think is the major value.  The Optimus robots are coming soon, as are the Robo Taxis and the related software, which will be leased to companies like Uber.

How does Musk keep getting away with it?

Having enough money to buy anyone's employer, just to sack them, probably helps.

That might do well enough within the tariffed US but for the rest of the world market the Chinese are well ahead already.

The reason Elon gets away with doing dumb thinks is he makes moves that are smarter. Tesla is a distraction, this guy has more info from space through satellites, rockets and god knows what payloads than anybody in history including all governments.

He has enough to feed AI data for machine learning through all of this. Other AI is paying reddit to scrape its data for example. Musk knows for the past decade where every liberal Tesla drivier has been or done.

He also leverages X to scrape data.

It wasn't meant as criticism it was to help educate people that don't really understand what Musk does. I doubt he gives one single crap about Tesla his ambitions are in space. For that to happen you need to be deeply connected and he is. He isn't trying to run a battery powered car company. He hasn't been seen in a tesla factory or office for nearly 2 months or so.

You aren't counting Starlink and SpaceX. I think you might do yourself a favor and learn that most of his holdings are private, He has more satellites in near earth orbit than any individual or government, maybe around 10,000 and growing. I am using a starlink to post this. Musk will be the biggest internet provider in the world some day.

The general world-wide revulsion against Musk and Trump is growing. Have you looked at how Tesla sales have fallen off a cliff?

Musk gets a lot of his money from the US taxpayer, more fool them.

There are plenty of non-Americans saying if it has a label "Made in the USA", they are not buying it. Better get used to it.

Musk has more than 10,000 satellites in orbit. Tesla doesn't matter but it is a piece in the puzzle for data collection like X is.  He has access to such high security info and thats why he is the most valuable man in the world.

Musk is getting a treasury of free data, courtesy of DOGE.

Perhaps you have heard the Greek saying, Hubris is always followed by Nemesis.

Thank heavens I am not American.

The same people hating on Musk for confusing names are the ones who call the Afghan debacle a victory, or a 6'4" bulked up well endowed rapist in a wig a woman.

Or say her name: Lincoln Riley

Supposedly, the New Model Y has more orders than they can fill over in China.

As for money from the taxpayer?  They can cut out the tariffs. It won't bother Musk.  He can make cars cheaper than the competition.  He doesn't need tariffs.

As for people around the world?  No one cares, really.  Let them make their own stuff if they think they can.

In the long run, we're all dead.  In the meantime, if I can double or triple or quadruple my Tesla investment in a year, I'm a happy camper.  I see Cathie Wood jumped in early the past few days.  PLTR also, I see.  That was a home run for me the last few years. Bought tons in the $6 to $10 range.  I knew it was a winner, but I wasn't expecting so much so soon.  Anyway, it's working out well.

Angkor Market in Siem has been putting American flags near American products for years, must be to warn people away.

A Tesla Model 3 in Thailand has an RRP of 1, 769,000 baht. That is the cheapest model on offer.

BYD sells a range of EV's, RRP base model 700,000 baht, top of the line AWD is 1, 600,000 baht, still cheaper than the RWD Tesla Model 3.

Teslas also have acquired a reputation for inconsistent build quality.

Musk doesn't need tariffs? He needs them like I need my partial denture.

As for cheaper, try doing some research.

You will care soon enough when we tell you to close down your spy bases in Australia, and stick your submarine deal where the sun does not shine.

America has a positive trade balance with Australia. The stuff we buy from you, we can easily buy elsewhere.

There was a time America dominated the automotive market in Australia. Now, your sales are embarrassing. Rightly so, because your cars are crap.

Enjoy your SwastikaLink riding around in your Tesler Swatiskar.

What a dreamy hero, the Musk~Rat be! 😛

Fascism glorifies rigid hero stereotypes to enforce loyalty, obedience, and nationalism, portraying an idealized, strong leader or warrior as a model for unity, discipline, and the suppression of individuality.
