MP Phanthira Nwamjerm from the People's Party has exposed a troubling situation unfolding in a condominium in Bangkok's Nana area, which is reportedly being rented out for prostitution on a daily basis

I guess the short term hotels can't keep up with demand?

Why don't the African hookers use the same short-time rooms as everyone else?

why don't the "Police" take the off the streets,,  period !

arrest them deport them ,, make it a non-stop practice ..   period ....

not  like they are hard to spot .....

He doesn't look old enough to have a beer or go to university so not sure he is in a viable position to comment on his countries social districts

It's not a myth. When Paweena Hongsakul, who has long campaigned for children's and women's rights, was in government, she led a delegation of local government figures on a walk through Walking Street and declared on camera that there was no prostitution in Pattaya. It was widely reported at the time and became a laughing stock amongst foreigners.

I was replying to someone suggesting the government/police has said "there is no prostitution in Thailand".   I'm well aware of the event you mention, although I believe they were referring to Walking Street not Pattaya as a whole.  Walking Street does not have open prostitution (apart from late night emigrees from Beach Road).  The bars and gogos are licensed under the Entertainment Places Act, which permits them to allow staff to leave with customers.  Any act of prostitution would take place 'privately' and thus not be illegal.

This thread is about the Nana area of Bangkok and the illegal use of condos anyway.
