I support Carney only because he will be the easiest for Poilievre to beat. Young Trudeau didn't do as much harm to Canada as wicked old Trudeau but he did enough and it will be good to see the back of him and his carbon tax.

Carney vs a Tori leader who has never had a job outside politics and who the public sees as a Trump clone. In a country that has a serious hate on for Trump. The Carney Liberals have a 7% pt lead over the Pierre Tories in the latest poll.                                   https://www.ekospolitics.com/index.php/2025/03/rising-nationalism-desire-for-economic-sovereignty-propels-liberals-to-five-year-high/

Male vote jumped 3%. Lefty males

The unemployment rate in Canada is calculated differently than the yanks do. Also we have more of our population that participate in the workforce. In other words less people roaming the streets blitzed out of their minds and homeless. 6% unemployment is basically our full employment rate.

It was 4.1% before

Amazing how far behind the liberal party was prior to Trump starting his ridiculous antics and his back and forth tariff policies. They have defied all predictions and Trump has united Canada in a way we haven't seen in a very long time.

May the US suffer for its indignities, and spectacularly ignorant behavior toward a close friend and allied nation.

Time for this new leader to bring it on and inflict as much pain on the US as possible.

I think that the entire world should stand up in mutual defiance of Trump. He is a blazing idiot, he is an absolute fool, he is incredibly ignorant, and he should be defied at every single opportunity. The world absolutely has to speak out and let them know that the creeps antics and stupidity will not be tolerated.

Trump's arrogance knows no bounds, the US under his guidance is completely out of control, their influence is declining by the day, and Trump needs to be taught a very painful and very powerful lesson. The Canadians can lead the way. Bring on the pain.

Canada the parasitic nation subsidized by America. We would never want them as the 51st state.

What a relief. Canada would never want you as the 11th province either!! America has new friends anyways, namely Russia and North Korea. Enjoy your well deserved PARIAH status. :-)

If one is into progressives, WEF and carbon neutral then Carney's your man. Trudeau's darling, complete with, more of the same governing and worse. He'd finish what Trudeau and his daddy started if he got elected. (depending on who Trudeau's daddy is). Provinces would be begging for "statehood" after that creep is finished with Canada!

From my favorite Senator:He sees the consequences by the climate progressives.

In 2025, Canadians pay a carbon price that adds about 17.6 cents to each liter of gasoline, with the price set to increase to $170 per tonne by 2030, and the federal government provides rebates to help offset the costs.

Trump v Carney fiscal knowledge.

What do Trump supporters think how a financial debate/meeting would go between the two of them.

Trump;  Multiple bankruptcies and financial disasters and lack of attention to detail.

and

Carney; Ex governor of the Bank of Canada from 2008 to 2013 and the 120th governor of the Bank of England from 2013 to 2020.I

I think even many sane Trump supporters would have to support Carney on that one.

But wait for the howls from the extreme brainwashed MAGA supporters.

PS; Note I differentiate from normal Trump supporters and extreme brainwashed MAGA supporters.

An international banker as PM, what could go wrong. I mean they've been controlling the world for over a 1000 years, why not give them full control. Nice!

Carney will be crushed in a debate with Polievre. Pierre is sharp and has been honing his skills in Parliament for years.

His French is also not nearly as good as either Polievre or Singh.
