A survey of over 100,000 Germans revealed that 94% won’t buy a Tesla vehicle. It doesn’t bode well for the automaker, whose sales had already been falling off a cliff in the important European market. In 2024, Tesla saw a 41% reduction in sales in Germany compared to 2023 despite EV sales surging 27% during the year.

Some Tesla shareholders hope that the new version of the Model Y will help reverse the trend, but those poll results don’t look good. Furthermore, Tesla’s Model 3 sales are also crashing in Germany, which suggests that Model Y is not the only problem.

Canada just announced that in response to Trump's trade war and betrayal of a neighbor and trusted ally, they are going to restrict access through British Columbia to and from Alaska, and they're going to start taxing US trucks going back and forth. I wouldn't bet money on that. Decisions like what Schumer just made are showing that the Democratic "leaders" are merely DINO's. It would have been understandable if Chuck had at least put up SOME kind of fight, demanded a concession or two. Instead, he just bent over, yelled "Have your way with me," and walked away from the negotiating table empty-handed. I'm just glad I don't live there any more and don't depend on Uncle Sam for a damned thing. I pity those who are stuck there, watching in horror as the country they thought was safe is being drawn into the swirling toilet of fascism.

The clock was ticking and getting close to midnight.  Not enough time left for bargaining.  

As an aside, did you know in case of a shutdown essential workers are required to stay on the job and forgo getting paid until the shutdown is over.  Furloughed workers are given a free ride. They get paid for their time off even though they didn't work?  Crazy, crazy, crazy!

That's exactly the right time to force the Republicans' hand. President Musk is shutting down the government anyway, so little risk of hurting any further with a gubmint shutdown than is already being done by the DOGE-bags.

My post was poorly worded in a hurry out the door and I apologize for that.  But the point still stands, if only based on dozens of posts just here on AN lamented that Crooks wasn't a better shot. 

 

Meanwhile, conservative influencers are being swatted (risking not only their lives, but the LEOs being sent), property is being vandalized, companies are being targeted (that have thousands of employees and even more stockholders).  Because some people don't like Bad Orange Man or (by association) Musk.

 

I guaranty you that there are millions of lefties that will be hoping that Space-X fails, that Trump keels over, and that the economy collapses on his watch.  Like they were hoping out loud that the next would be assassin wouldn't fail.  All because they can't stand the possibility that they'll succeed.  That's the state of many on the left in America today.  They resort to violence, vandalism and thuggery if they don't get their way.

A) Until someone shows me an actual accounting, I have no clue whether they've saved any money.  Neither do the knobs reporting that they do know.  We won't know for at least a few quarters.

 

B) Show me a politician that doesn't put a favorable spin on their programs and forecast rainbows and lollypops.

And all the DOGE-bags are receiving 6-figure salaries. I would bet after all the folks who were illegally removed are reinstated WITH back-pay, DOGE will show a net loss for the US.
