You may want to mention where you're staying.  I've seen a ton of roadside shops that sell this kind of cement furniture.

As I recall, they usually have a bunch of gaudy painted rooster statues in various sizes up front.  Up to 10' tall and taller...  But that may be me conflating eclectic roadside shops in Thailand.

You may want to consider the possibility that companies who sell cement cocks also sell cement tables.

They're all over Thailand.  No use telling you about one in Chiang Mai if you live in Hua Hin.  Shipping charges alone would be more than the cost of getting one locally.

Another guy asking for advice, then insulting the people who could give it to him.

I sure know where to buy standard style cement tables and chairs like the photo I posted - all over the highway in every province  , was asking for scaled down versions of them to fit a balcony

but dont insult the results you receive 😉

I would suggest that 'cement furniture' is not the best choice for a balcony. It takes up a lot of room and it's very, very heavy.

Try searching for 'balcony furniture' on Lazada. Pages and pages of choices!

As people mention on here there's only one place to live and there's only one walking street. In the whole country

Smaller sized designs would work as cement is the only thing here weatherproof when exposed to the elements day in and day out

How big was the cement cock you bought ?

  • 1 year later...

For balcony setups, cement stools look great but can be heavy and rough on tiles, so I mixed mine with lighter pieces. I added a garden egg chair for the comfy spot, since it handles sun and rain well and doesn’t wobble like some metal frames I tried. For tables, sealed concrete or fiber‑cement side tables hold up better and don’t crumble after one season.

This outdoor furniture is rock solid

Cement furniture ... can't think of a more uncomfortable or impractical type of furniture for a balcony. How big is your balcony ? How much daily sun exposure.

Spend a bit more and buy better version and what's comfortable. Metal with sun resistant 'webbing' or quality bamboo & rattan hold up nice, along with wood is a good choice. All types I have or have used in the past.

Or east facing veranda, only gets about 2 - 3 hrs of early sunlight, when the chairs are exposed. Not that we sit out there in the sun anyway, as dining table & dog's sofa get the same view, and indoors in AC comfort.

At present, I use a basic folding metal / webbing chair (black), quite comfy, and wife has a metal, webbing one. Mine will probably outlast me, and hers will be good for a few more years, though one armrest webbing is starting to unravel, nothing a screw or hot glue won't fix, since very inexpensive. Dog's sofa is behind sliding glass doors, as is the dining table, behind the other set of sliding glass doors.
