A devastating road crash in Prachinburi province has claimed the lives of a mother and daughter after an 18-wheeler lorry crushed their motorcycle at a three-way junction. The victims’ grieving relatives collapsed in tears upon arriving at the scene.

The fatal collision occurred at approximately 13:00 on 20 March at the Ban Khao Maka intersection, near Ban Khao Poon, Village 2, Wang Tha Chang Subdistrict, Kabin Buri District. Officers from Wang Takhian Police Station, along with rescue personnel from the Sajja Buddhatham Foundation, responded to the emergency call.

At the crash site, authorities discovered the 18-wheeler, which had veered off the road into a grassy area. Beneath the vehicle lay the bodies of the two victims, along with the wreckage of their Yamaha motorcycle, which had been completely crushed.

The deceased were later identified as Ms. Natthakul, 53, and her daughter, Ms. Somruthai, 24. Both were residents of Village 19, Wang Tha Chang Subdistrict, Kabin Buri District.

As relatives of the victims arrived at the scene, they broke down in grief upon seeing their loved ones’ remains.

Emergency services transported the bodies to a local hospital for autopsy and further investigation. Authorities are now working to determine the exact cause of the crash before proceeding with legal action. The victims’ remains will be returned to their family for religious funeral rites.
