And has been repeatedly pointed out, all the developed nations and most of the other ones experienced sharp inflation as the world economy emerged from Covid. So why blame Biden? Maybe a common cause should be considered, instead?

If you mean like this? Keep it.

The issue was market decline. I mentioned inflation, which was partly a result of low rates for too long. By continuing to spend trillions, Biden kept inflation higher than need be, even up to today the 2% target was never reached.

Trump raised the deficit by 7.1 trillion last time around. He spends like a drunken sailor. And Musk only my seems to be eliminating jobs that were needed. A failing grade of D minus to date.

Nations are relocating manufacturing from China, but there are a dozen reasons they are not coming back to the US. Most of which are beyond the ability of Trump or his simple minded administration to understand.

Based on a survey of North American manufacturing executives and an analysis of global trade patterns, the report reveals that more than 90% of manufacturing companies in the region have moved at least some of their production or supply chain in the past five years. Of those, half reported that they had shifted more than 20% of their manufacturing and supply chain spending. Further, owing to ongoing geopolitical uncertainties and high US tariffs, more than 90% of respondents said that they plan to make similar moves over the next five years.

Thanks to their deep labor pools and growing scale and capabilities across diverse industries, Mexico, India, Southeast Asia, Turkey, and Morocco are rapidly emerging as future export powerhouses. For example, from 2018 through 2022, US goods imports declined by 10% from China in inflation-adjusted terms, but they rose by 18% from Mexico, by 44% from India, and by 65% from the ten countries of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

Oh give it up! A big chunk of that was used to cover the pandemic costs, immediately and directly. Biden spent more post Covid.

While I'm no longer a supporter, I think he's doing a great job domestically. Unfortunately everything he does in the middle east is appalling and dangerous for all of us. He should stay in the US and keep his sticky beak out of the M E.

Why blame Biden? Perhaps because he had no functioning brain and was an imbecile.

Lets do a reality check.  None of the previous presidents in the last 20 years has addressed the overspending and growing debt bomb.  Until now.  Each one gets an explanation and pass for why THEIR guy didn't do anything.  Doge with Musk as it'd figurehead, is at least doing a hard audit to reduce the bleeding on the spending side.  If the left doesn't like the WAY it is happening make suggestions.  Work with them.

We have also allowed ourselves to be slighted in many trade arenas because for a long time as we had an incredible advantage and it was in our interest to see others back on their feet.  Those days are also over and a reset is needed to allow the USA to compete on an equal basis with the EU nations, China, SE Asia, etc.  I am hopeful this tariff business is simply that.  Lets all drop all tariffs and let the best man win in competition.  If that isn't it then this tariff thing is above my pay grade.

But it is the height of hypocrisy to point at who added to the debt bomb and trade imbalance and then complain when now there is at least an attempt at preventing a USA financial crash.  I am not educated enough in economics or a student of it to know if Trump/Musk are doing a good job of it.  But this issue should have both parties working together.   The USA must reduce debt going forward until it is brought way down from this number.

So, for argument's sake let's say your characterization of Biden is true. Therefore even if it wasn't his fault, he still is  responsible for inflation because of his intellectual failings?

The thing is Trump is only in it for himself any bonus that accrues to the American working MAGA man will be by accident rather than design. The good news is that he is destroying the American finances and their standing in the world and I can't see that not impacting the dollar , and the more impoversihed the US is the les able it will be able to finance endless wars and Israel - indeed he just stuick 17% on Israel much to their consternation. So I for one am cheering on the detruction. Keep up the good work Donnie - it's like a toddler walking into a bar on the dark side with a loaded gun.

It was really executively Obama 3.0 with the country running on autopilot. Meanwhile the greatest pilot in the world(TM)  who was sitting in 1st Class barged into the cockpit and is now pulling levers and pressing switches. Prepare for crash landing.
