The left wants to destroy the Greatest country on Earth.

One such adventurer, the American, John C. Lilly, who was given funding by NASA to teach dolphins to speak, routinely injected ketamine while in a flotation tank. It led him to believe earth was being controlled by aliens, who one day stole his penis. As he wrote: “That evening I took 150 milligrams of ketamine, and suddenly the Earth Coincidence Control Office removed my penis and handed it to me. I screamed in terror. My wife Toni came running in from the bedroom, and she said, ‘It’s still attached.’ So I shouted at the ceiling, ‘Who’s in charge up there? A bunch of crazy kids?’”

Yes.

DOGE has approved your funding request.

Your research is very intriguing. 😄

That statistic does not explain why Australian life expectancy is almost 6 years better than America.

Cheer up, you are 6 years better than the Russians.

It does show that your country is a county of fatties.  When I was in Bali it was easy to ID the  Australians.   It was the fat white people.

Let me see if I get this straight; you come from the US, the most obese country in the whole industrialized world and you complain about fat Australians???

Tell me something; is it a requirement for the MAGA crowd to rescind all self-awareness and ability to detect hypocrisy?

Someone from a country of fatties should not engage in fat shaming; even a fat BLM freak like you should understand.

So your point is that the writers of the Declaration of Independence and the people attending the Constitutional Convention were not educated?

Sure, many immigrants were not educated, especially those who came during the "heyday of immigration," but the ones that founded America were certainly educated.  And, as I recall, we're discussing the idea of America.  Why it's important for the world. What's America without that Idea? Another bunch of dirt for human beings to inhabit.

No  that is not what I'm saying. I'm saying that what you subsequently said is not the same as what you originally wrote. I agree that all the founding Fathers were very well educated.  but that is not what you originally claimed. In fact, your original point made no mention of the founding fathers at all. I have no  clue as to why you're bringing them up now.

A great thread and debate.

If Americans living in Thailand really believe that the USA is "the greatest" country in the world, why aren't they living there?🤭

I'm an American and I'm currently in Thailand.  I've been retired for almost 20 yers and I've been living all over. Since July of 2022, in Thailand.

Why am I in Thailand now and not America?  To make a long story short, I became aware of what they were doing with the COVD jabs and the digital "passports" not too long into the whole pandemic scare. I wasn't about to be one of their depopulation victims. And that's what it was.  A Psyop and a killer "vaccine." Scare the hell out of the population and then murder most of them with a killer jab.  I can spend all day telling you how I know that, but let's just say I do.  I've seen the receipts.

And so, as soon as travel opened back up in 2022, I got rid of my USA junk any way I could and I bought a one way ticket to Thailand. I've been here ever since.

Would I go back to the USA? Sure. Just as soon as I see a bunch of the culprits in orange jumpsuits and behind bars for the rest of their lives, or hanging at the end of a rope. Until the happens, why would I go there?  I can be anywhere I want, and, all things considered, I feel safe in Thailand.

For anyone not of that mindset, don't be afraid of America. There's a lot of fear mongering about the economy, but it doesn't have to be so bad, especially in the middle of the country.  You might not like the weather, but you'll survive.

Jeez. Where do you thin the idea of America came from?  And isbn't that the discussion?  America.  The idea of America.  Otherwise it's just a place on the map.

Posts using derogatory and toxic nicknames or intentional misspelling of people’s names will be removed. If you don’t want your post to be removed, spell people’s names correctly, this applies to both sides of the political debate.

Nicely put.  I have many American friends and like and respect them, as I'm sure I would you.  At least they, and you, are not trying to claim that the USA is the greatest country in the world!

Ia there any such thing? For some people, it surely is. For others, maybe not. But I think the opportunity is there. How do you define "great"?

Better than thinking everything in the universe came from nothing.

Everybody's deities came from nothing, or "always were", apparently until they got so bored they created a Universe of a few hundred billion galaxies, each with upwards of a trillion stars, just so one one planet around one average star in one average galaxy, sentient beings could develop who would then thank said deity for a cheeseburger and tell it how great it is.

Well, the Universe is here, or at minimum you are (Descartes). Zero proof of Zeus or Shiva or Yahweh or Allah or Bokonon.

Because you cannot understand particle physics doesn't mean there is a deity, anymore than the Earth must be flat, otherwise we'd all fall off.

I always get a kick out of religious folks who threaten me with eternal damnation. The devil is supposed to be the epitome of evil, as he's the one who makes us lie or cheat or steal bubblegum. The good guy, however, who is claimed to be "pure love" sends tsunamis and earthquakes and childhood cancer.....all part of either some Master Plan or "mysterious ways".

I'll take the devil and cheating. I suspect his country club is a lot more fun than Mr Tsunami.

Watch out. The tariffs are making the price of tin skyrocket.

Please, please don't go back to America. It's been totally depopulated by that Psyop and the killer vaccine. There's only like 4 Americans left above ground. Bodies everywhere.

Of course it's now pretty easy to get a tee time, even at Augusta and Pine Valley.

IIRC both courses need an invitation by a member to play. Never got to Augusta, but I did get to play Pine Valley twice.

I understand science, but it's never explained how the universe got it's start, that it just happened or that it was created, which is a more logical explanation. Some theories that make sense to some, and we use faith. I wouldn't threaten you with eternal damnation. That's God's to judge. All I can do is say he exists, and you'll make your choice. We'll all meet God when we die, and for some it might not be a good time.

The devil has no power. He's just waiting for us to make the worst mistake, turning our backs on God.

God might have some strange reasons bad things happen we can't understand, and I'm definitely one who questions why, , but again, in simple terms anyone can understand. 80 years or so is nothing compared to forever, and any deity that can create the universe from his mind surely has something worth waiting for when we pass, with no pain or sorrow, and only the good things we've come to enjoy, and then some.

As believers we can only hope those who don't believe can see different, as there are a few reasons people turn their backs on God, one being they lost someone to some stupid disease, and can't understand why God would allow it, or their parents forced religion down their throats, and maybe in abusive ways, and this turned them against God as well. Why would God allow children to suffer? All these reasons come back to that 80 years or so, and it still doesn't add up to forever. Someone who thinks they are above all this, that others who believe are naive or stupid, will talk to God someday, as we all will.

Some people from our country thought

it was great. Great enough to either BS us or really make a effort to solve waste fraud and abuse , I think its a little bit of both!

I’m partial to my country because of its laws . The good ole days of not having to secure things in a department store or worry about fraud. So many other things separated our country from a third world banana republic.

“From the day I took office, I’ve said we’re going to comb the federal budget, line by line, to eliminate as much wasteful spending as possible.  That’s what the Campaign to Cut Waste is all about. We can’t wait for Congress to act – we can’t wait for them to get our fiscal house in order and make the investments necessary to keep America great”:Obama

That's the typical religious nonsense of people who thinks everybody has to follow their believes. And I'm telling you there is nothing at all. Please proof me wrong with some facts and not the typical answers as above.

It's not my deal to prove you wrong. It's your choice to believe or not to. The word of God has been out there for a long time. Think why you don't believe in  God and see if it's traced back to a bad event or your childhood. I'm a Christian and that's my deal. Easy to believe in something that makes sense than other people who have theories. Like I said, we all talk to God eventually.
