He's not meant to be taken entirely at face value.

Although the cost of goods are up, so yes people may need to trim the fat.

But I don't have much sympathy for low income families who have 5 children and then blame the govt when money is tight.

That's what everyone thought. Don't take Trump literally. Then the leopards ate their faces.

Why would you expect that the price of toys at Wal-Mart should remain the same for decades and decades?

Since you don't understand the complexities of global trade, economics, geopolitics, countries hostile toward each other ... all affect these prices.

Live below your means to absorb any shocks in the system.

Or you can blame Trump for everything if it makes you feel good..

No, I'm not blaming Trump for everything. Only those things for which he is responsible.

The oval office is eliminating fraud.

Only the recipients are complaining.

Unfortunately if the Oval Office is eliminating fraud, then JD Vance will be POTUS. Not sure he's any better, though.

Whether Trump or Vance is in office, your fraud checks will be eliminated.

Good job DOGE!

Good job DOGE!

They'll have to remove themselves from office if they are truly fighting fraud.

I think that's a 2 sided problem. Yes, a lot goes into health insurance. But why is it so expensive? Because US healthcare is over the top expensive. So if Trump did what he promised (cut the cost of medication and healthcare), then it would make sense to lower the funding of Medicaid, as less could still cover all the expenses associated with it. So as a big picture - it somewhat makes sense. But the bits and pieces of it, especially how they are communicated... not so much. Actually, his tariffs and sticking nose into what he doesn't understand is making costs even higher.

The big picture is overall not bad. And even CNN posted something that mostly confirmed what Kennedy said was not far off on research. It is indeed interesting, but personally, I don't think much will happen in this direction because... well... people are addicted to junk.

Medical insurance is expensive in America because of the eye-watering payouts to patients who are successful in malpractice claims. The doctors have to have costly professional indemnity insurance, which then gets passed on to their patients.

In the period 2013 - 2023, medical malpractice payouts in the US totaled $34 billion. Lawyers took 33%, they have a vested interest in maximizing payouts.

One solution is obvious. As Shakespeare said, first kill all the lawyers.

Currently, there is no cure.

I certainly hope not. I'd hate to go back to being an un-woke capitalist.
