Every country has different needs and capabilities given a certain set of circumstances - ever considered that? Try harder!

Partial quote missing out the second bit...classic MAGA. You haven't provided any examples on what policies Biden followed which stoked up inflatkion. Still waiting for one! Or are you sticking with Spam lol.

Meanwhile, Trump is gonna pump up inflation with tariffs. Doesn't quite sit with your narrative.

Well, as Trump explained, it's not Americans who are going to pay for those tariffs. When China exports stuff to the US, it's China that's going to pay for those tariffs, not Americans.

I'm to the political right, if you care to read my earlier comments😄 Not every GOP supporter is aligned to the cult of Trump. Worrying.

Quality of debate amongst MAGA fans really is poor on this forum. Can't provide any facts to back up the soundbites.

Good thing I wasn't talking about you eh.

Do you think American producers won't price gouge their customer base off the back of these tariffs? Of course the consumer will be affected and end up paying.

You mean so they can sell even less?

Even with an increase the US producers can still be competitive against tariff imposed imports.

Then why they weren't competitive before the tariffs?

Because they were up against cheaper imports which, going forward, will no longer be cheaper due to tariffs being imposed?

And how about the tariffs on the parts they have to import to produce their goods in the US?

What parts for what goods? Don't be obstinate for the sake of it. I'm sure you understand the point of tariffs and what imposing them is trying to achieve. I am just pointing out that in my opinion,  US consumers will still end up paying more for the same goods than they do now due to the reason I outlined earlier. Just my opinion.

I know very well how tariffs work, but obviously you and Trump don't.

Here's another one.

https://finance.yahoo.com/news/trump-administration-adds-beer-imports-155034830.html

Trump administration adds beer, can imports to 25% US aluminum tariffs

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. Commerce Department on Wednesday revised President Donald Trump's 25% tariffs on derivative aluminum products to include all beer and empty aluminum can imports.

Trump's worst-case scenario tariffs could cost Americans $3,800 a year. Are the MAGAs ready for that? That's a big reduction in spending on alcohol, chew and cigarettes.

If you read my original post I have stated that the imposition of tariffs will end up making the same goods more expensive for US consumers than they currently are.

Then please explain how they will be competitive against imported goods, when they will be price gouging on top of the higher manufacturing cost due to the tariffs on their imported parts.

The result will be that the US economy goes to the drain, because goods get too expensive, and factories will close and people lose their job. But I also know from your post history that you are a Trump supporter, so you will keep switching your words to justify what your master is destroying.

I have very, very little interest in US politics. In fact, I cannot recall ever having posted on a 'Trump' topic before (I do not consider this topic to be 'Trump' centric). Please provide some of my posting history which supports your comment. I think Trump is a complete buffoon but as I say, I really couldn't care either way what happens in the US.

Be interested to see what you come up with regarding my previous posts. Are you sure you are not getting me confused with someone else?

Let's hope it will be a job for president and vice president that returns to the US soon.
