Local sourcing has some items taste differently. The same kind of tomatoes, for example, can taste different in Thailand than they do in the US. Thailand might use different additives to those same ingredients to follow Thai tastes. So true, some countries do use additions to the basics to adapt to local tastes. Quality does come from preparation though, as two people can make the same pizza using the same ingredients and have it taste differently.

Yes, I agree. But what I was aiming at is that US Food and drug Ad ministration got different requirements for percentages of fat or proteins or sugar per 100g serving. This is different from EU. And probably different in Australia.

Even the amount of required  vitamins or minerals is different.
