The Israeli health organisation announced the exact number of victims and age groups:

those under 18 killed - as horrible as it is - were less than 40

Hamas committed numerous extreme  inhumane atrocities and war crimes and rape and murder ,

   The number of babies that died really isn't that important .

Numerous innocent woman and children were targeted and murdered and even worse . 

   Extreme atrocities were committed by the Palestinians , the exact numbers of those atrocities  are rather irrelevant

   That was clarified and explained soon after the event .

A French journalist made the report in French and it was translated into English .

   The journalists used the word "Babies" to denote that all the Kibbutz's Mothers had their babies killed .

  Quite often , people refer to their Children as their babies .

It was reported and clarified at the time , you must have missed it
