Easy read guide here for those interested in COR.

https://www.thethailandlife.com/residence-certificate-thailand

Validity of COR from immigration typically has validity of a month however can depend on the transport office. Can be up to 3 months (not common)

Note you require a separate COR for each use.

The exception is that if obtaining a bike and car license at same time (or renewal) then one COR and photocopy will suffice.

Chonburi DLT allowed maximum 30 days.  My CoR was 5 weeks old and was refused. This was for driving license.

BTW: Same 30 day limit also applies to the medical certificate.

one is not needed to sell

Correct: here is cut paste from expert Thai visa days.....

"As the seller you should only need the vehicles log book and your passport.

You only need a certificate of residence if your the buyer as a foreigner unless you have a Yellow Tabien Baan.

The Thai buyer only needs his Tabien Baan and ID card."
