Man Jumps Onto Car Bonnet During Domestic Dispute in Nonthaburi

A dramatic scene unfolded in Sai Noi district when a man leapt onto the bonnet of a moving car driven by his partner, who was attempting to leave home with her two children following a heated domestic argument.

 

The incident occurred around 22:00 on 9th April. Police at Sai Noi Station received multiple calls and video footage from concerned witnesses reporting a shirtless man clinging to the bonnet of a moving sedan travelling on Bang Kruai–Sai Noi Road. The footage sparked alarm among road users and onlookers.

 

Police quickly responded and located the vehicle. A motorcycle patrol intercepted and forced the car to stop safely. The man then climbed down from the vehicle without resistance.

 

The man was identified as Mr. Thewin who lives with Ms. A, a woman with two children from a previous relationship. The couple reportedly reside in a housing estate in Sai Noi.

 

Preliminary investigations revealed that the couple had an intense argument earlier in the evening, sparked by Mr. Thewin scolding one of Ms. A’s children. The confrontation escalated, prompting Ms. A to pack her children into her car and drive away.

 

Seeing her attempt to leave, Mr. Thewin reportedly tried to block the vehicle and, in desperation, jumped onto the car bonnet to stop her. Ms. A continued driving out of the estate with him still clinging to the front of the car, shocking passersby.

 

After police calmed the situation, both parties were taken to Sai Noi Police Station for questioning. Mr. Thewin reportedly apologised and gave officers a written promise not to allow emotions to drive his actions again, pledging to treat his partner and her children with respect.

 

The couple were later seen returning home together in the same vehicle, the one at the centre of the bizarre incident.
