Why so many conspiracy theorists and what to do about them

LOL.... that's what the board of directors is tasked with.... making decisions, especially if, as you say, they had the support of the shareholders....

And their positions – and returns on investment – depend on results… but the AI-centric model is not delivering. I have spoken to some of these people personally and the situation is dire (as some of of us had long anticipated). The problem is that the stakeholders and decision-makers refused to listen – for various reasons which will have to be analysed in hindsight – when told that this AI-centric model was but a pipe dream.

Just google 'AI bubble' and read the plethora of recent articles by the likes of Time or Forbes, if you are interested in knowing more about this impending disaster. I'm not making anything up.

More conspiracy theories are not at all.   They are truths denied by authorities, to stop us becoming intrigued; and then investigating further.

Also my thought. Because if it were the Sun, the truck would melt…

It's good when we brainstorm to parse fact from fiction.

A little bit fiction in the morning

Not so Sir. 150+ years of compromised quackery more like.

I'm not saying there have not been some medical advances. But lobotomy, blood-letting, injecting mercury and aluminum into the body, are not advances of any description in my book.

No Madam. I'm bang up to date.

Fully aware of the falsehoods, pseudo-science, and anti-nature words that are constantly spouted from the Big Pharma compromised mouths.

Mums and Dad! Beware those white-coats spouting 'safe n effective'. Take yer babe back home and do some research. Don't let your precious babe be a lifetime Big Pharma customer.

Nature rules. We are nature. Nature is us.

So let's all go back to being "bang up to date" when nature ruled – the average lifespan was 40 years – and that was before any industrial farming or medicines...

You just don't get it Sir. You are not alone.

Can't you see that nature is everything? Destroy it, and we destroy ourselves. Making filth in labs and injecting it into babes is anti-nature and pseudo-science. Quackery in fact. Any why? To make money for Big Pharma and keep the know-nothing white-coats' bank accounts healthy. Healthy!? What about keeping the people healthy? What! No profit in that is there! Wouldn't want to disrupt our 'health' industry; would we?

In my lifetime, people have lived to 120+ years old. And both men and women sexually active well past 100.

Nature rules OK!

well, one thing's clear, it's done a pretty good job on you...BTW what is NOT nature?

"In my lifetime, people have lived to 120+ years old.' - really and when were you alive?

These people live, and work, on the land. They do not take any Big Pharma drugs. The eat natural food. Their crops are not tainted by chemicals.

They live in smaller communities. Houses built with natural materials. Drink pure, fresh untreated water.

All documented in an earlier topic by Stiddle on AN. Go take a look and learn something.

The toxic filth being concocted in labs, grown in petri dishes, put into syringes, and pumped into babes and toddlers.

Don't waste your time. Everyone knows the earth is flat.

As it was in 1969.

As I said a couple of times before, I note the cast is more diverse for the remake. We'll see if it is well received by viewers and critics.

I notice conspiracy theorists are being very quiet on the moon-mission threads. nothing more than half-hearted onliners but no serious arguments

Surely there should be evidence for both landing hoaxers and flat earthers – or are they just waiting to be told what to say?

Medical research in the UK is primarily funded by a mix of government, charity, and commercial sectors, with medical research charities often contributing the largest share of public-facing funding, accounting for roughly 41-44% of it. Major funders include the Medical Research Council (MRC) (government), large charities like Cancer Research UK, and pharmaceutical companies - you\re not very well-read.

No, that's not an explanation – I want YOU to tell everyone where the HOAX STARTS

Go through it step by step

You can't just cherry-pick the odd bit of Google that suits

...and let's get sidetracked – where do they say that?

Yeah, I know, it's always a bit of a shock to hear NASA themwelves explain that the Earth pics are fake. Borderline cognitive dissonance material… but let's not let an insurmountable contradiction challenge our beliefs, eh?

Where does the hoax start? In your head. And only you can work on that. Few people are equipped to change their steadfast beliefs.

Like Fox Mulder, you want to believe and no amount of explicit footage will make you change your stance.

not impressed – all you are doing is clinging to one piece of dubious crap and hoping it destroys the whole argument.

I said, 'Why don't you show when the hoax starts?' You can't, so you just think you can repeat half-arsed one-liners – you need to put forward a derailed explanation in your own words – I'm starting to think you can't.

The moonshots – both US and Chinese – are wonderful opportunities for flat earthers and hoax believers to put forward their case – but they – including yourself – are being remarkably taciturn. - I can't help but get a frisson of schadenfreude from this.

QED! – You realise that by definition, science doesn't have steadfast beliefs?

17 minutes ago, kwilco said:

Yes it does. From the Wikipedia page on vaccination, for example (you will, of course, retort that these are "facts", de facto admitting that it's okay to have a steadfast belief it it falls in the "fact" category):

Vaccination has saved 154 million lives, 95% of whom are children younger than five years of age.

Some parents believe vaccinations cause autism, although there is no scientific evidence to support this idea.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vaccination

No amount of data challenging these dogmas will be even considered by their proponents, ergo said proponents are believers.

My time is incredibly precious and therefore I don't engage in repetition; read through the Is Earth round or flat and Exposing the Apollo moon landings as a hoax - Bart Sibrel threads, it's all there. I might have specific things to say regarding the remake Artemis II once more information emerges and/or I have taken the time to do a deep dive on it, but unfortunately that will have to wait for now.

If you feel happy then that's great, and I mean that very sincerely.
