Why so many conspiracy theorists and what to do about them

So this is the giant tin can in which our heroes took this new step for mankind. It fills my heart with an intense joy. Everything isn't so bad after all.

More conspiracy theories are not at all.   They are truths denied by authorities, to stop us becoming intrigued; and then investigating further.

Thanks, that's much more like it indeed. Deep inside you know it is the truth.

If reality is only a constructed simulation, then none of us arrived here untouched by design. My creator made me like this, so do not blame the character for the role it plays, blame the game that wrote it.

Do you think we are living in ordinary reality while ‘they’ are hiding some greater truth from us? If so, why does the idea that we are part of a designed simulation sound less convincing to you? At least that would fit better with a universe that seems stranger than we once thought, with warped spacetime and the possibility of multiple realities.

I absolutely agree with this statement. The truth is my only compass and it has caused me to revise my angle more than once. The quest for the truth has led me to various places, from the most mundane to the most controversial. Actually demonstrate to me that I am wrong and I will acknowledge it out of principle. But one thing I don't do is refuse to go somewhere because of a dubious notion such as 'it would be too crazy'. And the fact that being a flat-earther makes you 'crazy' in society is not going to influence me in my determination of what makes sense and what doesn't.

Do you really believe that we are living in a simulation, or is just a possibility you don't dismiss?

Is it an idea you find appealing but which you know, ultimately, is unlikely, or do you really think this is the most probable situation?

Over the past couple of years, I have heard you mention this simulation concept several times, but I am still unsure whether it is more of a whimsical hobby, like an idea you like to toy with, or whether it is actually at the core of your world view.

In lack of something better, Simulation theory seems more plausible to me because humanity is already beginning to create virtual and alternative worlds of its own. Yet even with that possibility, I still experience myself as real, as flesh and blood. Even if, at the deepest level, we are only atoms arranged by DNA, that does not make our reality feel any less real. And even if we are almost nothing compared with the vastness of existence, there is something extraordinary in how nature organizes itself through numbers, patterns, and systems, which we know as physics and mathematics.

What also stands out to me is the strange mix of randomness in life: happiness, challenges, breakdowns, restarts, and then the cycle repeating again and again. At the same time, human nature itself does not seem fully under our control. We cannot simply change who we are based on experience as if we were adjusting settings. In that sense, there is something mysterious about existence, as though we are living within rules we did not choose but are constantly shaped by.

I do not claim to know the truth; I simply enjoy thinking philosophically about different possibilities. But one thing seems clear to me: we have a beginning, and we have an end, just as our planet, our galaxy, and perhaps even the universe itself do.

So am I correct in assuming you believe life happens to us, rather than us being in control of the events which shape our lives?

I think we have meaningful influence over our lives, but not total control. A lot of events happen outside our control, yet within certain parameters we can still shape our direction through our mindset, habits, discipline, and the choices we make. By changing our approach, training ourselves mentally and physically, and acting with consistency, we can influence both our character and, to a degree, our destiny.

It is possible that we are all just part of someone else's dream, and it all goes away the moment they wake up.

It is possible that our universe in just a tiny "cell" of a living organism.

It is possible there is/are God(s)

It is possible there is/are not God(s)

It is not possible that we can all control all of the events that shape our lives, unless we are all part of the same being.

All I need to do is keep my side of the street clean.

The flatness of the Earth is dependent on how flatness is defined.

Very few, through the compartmentalisation of tasks. It's all about the narrative.

For the Apollo 11 landing to be staged, how many is a few?

I just read the following comment on a Youtube channel comments section.

So are they over-doing it unnecessarily with vaccines? The anti-vaxxers might be right after all ... or maybe because kids don't play outside as much as they used to so vaccines are more necessary than in the past? This guy doesn't mention his age ...

The anti vax crowd wont like this, but they might come out with a "Universal Flu Vaccine" soon.

And Universal Anti-Venom. So you can play with Cobras.

While current flu shots need to be updated each season, scientists are finding new ways to make vaccine that could last much longer and cover more strains.

None of the conspiracy theorists will actually come out and say it

I believe the world is flat

I believe the moon landings are hoaxeu bekuve vaccines are fake.

Sideways allusions, little sound bites, but at the end of the day, they know their ideas are ridiculous

Firstly Sir. I, nor anyone else has been round the moon. Walked on the moon or done anything on the moon.

Science has to be challenged. I'm up for that. Especially when the 'science' is simply made up nonsense. So is Rattlesnake. Does that make us conspiracy theorists?

Actually, per the science, I think we've all been around the Moon?

Here you go:

I believe the world is flat.

I believe the moon landings are a hoax.

I believe unvaccinated children are healthier than vaccinated ones.

I would say a few dozen. Everybody else is just doing their compatmentalised task and believing the central narrative.

You would be wrong. It would have to be thousands.

At least everyone in the design, testing and approval of the equipment would have to be in it, and everyone involved in producing the footage.

Thousands.

But even if it were only a few dozen, who were they, why have they all been silent, and how did it benefit them?

How so? They test the equipment and produce the footage, that's all. They are part of 'the biggest event in human history' with all the social prestige and financial incentives that go with it, they are the first people to defend the narrative every chance they get, but they don't actually see what happens beyond take-off.

Pay off their mortgage, send their kids to the best schools, pay them a monthly allowance and their part of the deal is to just STFU… and in any case, it's not like anyone is going to believe them if they say anything else than the central narrative, is it? Go along with it and enjoy a life of earthly comforts, or rebel and suffer a world of pain. They all choose the former option.

But they had to design and test the equipment such that it is actually complete the task, why would they develop equipment able to computer the task, and then not complete the task?

They all had good government jobs, they could pay th mortgage and put the kids through college anyway.

And they could have all gotten rich going public.

I think you are as the Brits say, "taking the piss"

Hearsay. A man on his deathbed claims his father, an Air Force Staff Sergeant, told him that he helped film the staged lunar landing.

That seems a bit weak to me.

Coincidentally, my father was a Staff Sergeant in the Army Air Corps during WWII, and he worked on the Apollo program as an Electrical Engineer at the Autonetics plant in Downey, California.
