I have a 2020 NMAX.

The suspension is garbage in my opinion. The original suspension felt almost non-existant and when my number plate eventually vibrated off I bought the best YSS shocks I could get.

It is still garbage. Maybe slightly better. I have been three times to have the YSS shock adjusted. The last time improved it but it is still rough as guts riding around town over little bumps.

The guy said it is now at the limit and cannot be adjusted to be any softer than it is.

I am light so it's not my fat ass making it bottom out.

It surprises me that it can be this bad and be considered ok to even market.

I am wondering what others think of their NMAX suspension and if they have the same experience and if any way to remedy this. In other words is this normal?

I have considered changing the front shock too but I doubt it will improve things significantly.

Are you in Pattaya? there are pot holes, bumps, drains everywhere, i tried new rear YSS shocks on my Click 160 and it did FA, best solution is avoid short cuts and try to avoid bumps going slower, the other game changer for me was lower back stretches 2+ times a day, that really helped. I reckon all scooters are similar, i looked at a new Forza the other day, still big bump over speed humps

Phuket but its same here. Poorly made speed bumps everywhere, lots of potholes, cracks, drains and everything else.

I avoid them but ride about 2 hours a day so am bound to get some bumps.

When I bought the NMAX I test rode a PCX too. I don't remember if it were any better but my memorys of riding scoopys and clicks in the past were that they were better than this.

I think safe to say YSS is over-rated. Maybe Ohlins would help but I am sceptical.

Try lower back stretches, see YouTube, amazing what difference it makes, could be tight hamstrings

Both PCX and Nmax sometimes carry a family of four so it is understandable that the springs are a bit stiff.
