Media Trust Polling Polling data indicates that trust in the media remains near record lows in the United States. According to a Gallup poll conducted in September 2022, only 7% of Americans have a "great deal" of trust and confidence in the media, and 27% have "a fair amount," while 28% do not have much confidence and 38% have none at all in newspapers, TV, and radio.25 This trend is consistent across multiple years, with trust levels not reaching majority status since 2003. A more recent poll from The Center Square Voters’ Voice conducted in March 2024 found that 43% of Americans say the media is trustworthy, compared with 54% who said it is not trustworthy.4 Younger people are more likely to trust the media, with 47% of those ages 18-34 saying they trust it, while 46% say the opposite. However, this number decreases as people get older, with only 41% of those 65 and older saying they trust the media compared to 57% who do not. Another poll from YouGov conducted in February 2025 found that only 29% of Americans say they have a fair amount or a great deal of trust in the media to state the facts fully, accurately, and fairly, compared to 44% who do in Donald Trump’s administration. These polls highlight a consistent trend of declining trust in media among the American public, with significant differences based on age and political affiliation. -

You are nature Richard. Nature is you, Just as much as trees, elephants and chickens. You are coming at the subject of health on a completely different path to me. The body has evolved to do basic things. Protect itself, grow, reproduce and then protect the babe; as it was itself protected. Given the tools, the body will maintain itself to keep in the best of health. It will heal itself, and whatever it does, is for the goodness of itself. When symptoms arise, they are the body putting right something that is amiss. The white-coats would have us believe that there is an entity, called a virus, behind every tree, round each corner, just waiting to pounce. And of course if/when they do, a vaxx, created in a factory will sort it. I don't subscribe to that view one little bit. You can insult me all you want, but the truth is there for anyone to see. Just have to open eyes and mind. But I will say Richard, that you do attempt to discuss; unlike some others. Nature has the answers we seek. -

Report Thailand Waves Goodbye to Costly Scout Uniforms, Eases Parent Woes
I just got my kid's new scouts uniform. It was about 600 baht. The last one lasted a couple of years and she had a fair growth spurt. This one might last three years as I expect her growth to be a bit less now. When I lived in a poor village, I saw how much the so-called parents spent on beer, cigarettes, lao kao, lottery, and gambling - probably 30,000+ a year on booze and cigs alone - while utterly neglecting their kids' needs. Now, they can save a few hundred baht on the uniform to drink, smoke, or gamble with. Then, send their daughters to Pattaya. It ain't gonna help. It's just a big w@nk.
