During the pandemic, there was no more enthusiastic and loyal covid policy cheerleader than The Atlantic.

Something must have changed, as they recently published an article on the Masked Mental-Illness Mob.

The article reported that according to a recent PEW poll, around four percent (4%) of Americans still regularly mask up

That's 14 million people.

You can read the article here: https://www.theatlantic.com/health/archive/2025/04/covid-conscious/682252/

And it features a couple of testimonies from that still-masking bunch, who are stuck in a perpetual state of fear, anxiety, and obsessive compulsion.

It’s ruining their lives, their relationships, and what remains of their mental health.

I've had two jobs in my life when wearing a mask was essential. One in Wales, where the company made plaster boards. That was way back when i was first married. The other time was in a wood yard in North-London about 30 years ago. Had to change the mask every hour too. That's about it.

Those particles could be seen in the air. I'll not be wearing a mask for a mystery inert entity that cannot cause harm.

But how many of those Americans were wearing a mask cause their teeth are bad?
