You’re confusing biological sex with gender identity. Yes, biologically speaking there are only two genders, and while you can get a sex change, biologically speaking you’re still the sex you were born with. No one is disputing that. Yes yes, people can do whatever they want no matter how weird it seems, but just because someone identifies as a dog doesn't mean they get to compete in Crufts and get treated by a vet when they are ill.   Men pretending to be women can still do so, but they cannot use that as a ruse to compete against actual women in sports, nor get their penis out in women's changing rooms with legal protection, nor demand that a woman who is uncomfortable with waxing hairy balls waxes their hairy balls.  They also cannot demand that others validate their delusions or fantasies by forcing others to address them as women and try to get them arrested or fired from their jobs for correct-gendering.   Those bonkers days are thankfully over now.   

 

"But but but they are banning trans women from sport!!!"  No they are not, trans women (aka men) can compete in mens sports, they can use mens changing rooms and they even can save time queuing at the toilet by legally using the urinals provided in mens toilets.  

 

They went too far.  Wanting male rapists who identity as women to be housed in women's prisons was too far.  Competing against women in sports was too far.   Getting people fired from their jobs for misgendering was too far.   Demanding they can flash women in changing rooms was too far.   The pendulum will now swing back just as far in the other direction and they only have themselves to blame for this as they are no longer seen as harmless by women who previously would not have cared less if a trans women who looked like a woman (which is about 1 in 100 in the UK) used their facilities.

I totally agree with the male to female transitioners not being allowed to compete with biological women part. I don’t agree with your opinion on gender identity. You obviously either can’t or don’t want to get it, but it’s a real thing.

I didn't say its not a real thing.  But people are no longer required to validate other peoples fantasies or delusions.   People have lost their jobs or been punished in other ways for effectively saying "the emperor is not wearing any clothes". 

 

A girl was recently banned from playing football as the opposing team had a "trans woman" playing on it and she asked if "he was a man".

These are 2 of hundreds of incidents where the delusion was attempted to be forced onto people where they are supposed to deny the reality of what their eyes and their ears are telling them.   You can believe whatever you want to believe.  Nobody cares if you think the earth is flat or that men can become women so long as you don't try and force others to participate in this delusion.

Cross dressing has always been a real thing. So has bondage, but there's no campaigning for gimp masks to become more accepted.
