At approximately 00:10 AM on 29 April, the Sawang Boriboon Pattaya Radio Centre received a report of a pickup truck overturning with three people trapped inside. The accident occurred on Route 36 inbound to Pattaya, in Nong Pla Lai subdistrict, Bang Lamung district, Chonburi province. Rescue personnel, equipped with cutting tools, were immediately dispatched to the scene.

On arrival, rescuers found a bronze Toyota Vigo pickup truck, registration from Chanthaburi, overturned. Inside, a family of three, father, mother, and child, were found seriously injured and trapped. Emergency responders used hydraulic cutting equipment to extricate the victims, all of whom were in critical condition.

They were given first aid at the scene before being urgently transported to Patmakoon Hospital for further medical treatment. The driver was later identified as Mr. Chatchai Nameuangrak, aged 43.

An inspection of the vehicle and scene revealed multiple sacks of plastic scrap which had been thrown across the area, when the pickup rolled over.

Initial investigations found no actual eyewitnesses to the crash. However, it was reported that a loud explosion was heard shortly before the pickup was seen to lose control and overturn, resulting in the serious injuries.

Authorities have documented the scene as evidence. Preliminary assumptions suggest that the cause of the crash was likely a rear tyre blowout, which caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle.

always something to blame, if it was indeed a failed tyre (which I doubt) it is still your responsibility to ensure your vehicle is fit to drive, a large explosion could have been when you left the road, I see two wheels damaged from the photo

Tires over inflated?  I went on a VIP bus recently where none of the tires had any tread and all looked at bursting point.  It was checked at a roadside weigh station and CLEARED by police!!!

Which is why accidents like this will continue to happen until those in charge are forced to do the intended job. There has to be care before there is change.

Must have been F1 racing tyres, also known as slicks!
