How to get approval to fly drone for personal (non-commercial) use at Khao Yai Nat'l Park

I'm heading to Khao Yai this weekend. I have a licensed and insured personal drone (non-commmercial use) and would like to fly it around the national park. From what I see online, I need permission from the national park chief. I may already be too late for this trip but it would be good to know how to do this for future trips. Does anyone know how to reach someone at Khao Yai National Park in English about flying a drone there? Has anyone gone through this process? how long in advance did you have to get permission? Thanks.

No drones in national parks it the standard rule.  If you are registered, along with registered with CAAT, since having a camera drone, then you could simply ask if allowed to operate when there.   Doubt if that will be allowed.

Or, if away from everyone ... do as you please.  Not and endorsement to operate in the park.  I have operated just outside Nat. Parks, and no difference than being, as the scenery is usually the same, if not better.   Along with simply operating in the park, from afar.

UP2U  ... I operate mine quite often, where & when ever I want ... BUT ... away from non Thais, as they only snowflakes that complain about anything.   Thais when see me operating a drone, are quite inquisitive and nice to engage with.

Vid drones I have now, aren't eve registered.

EDIT:   I sit corrected, and seems it is possible, but does seem to be a hassle.

Let me guess, they'll issue drone permits with two prices, 200 for Thais and 2000 for foreigners.

No, there is no 2 tier pricing. First you will need a third party damages insurance and the insurance company can do the registration for you. I mean the official drone license. For national parks and public parks you are not allowed to fly, park rangers and security guards can spot you quickly in my experience. To get a permit for Khao Yai is most probably not easy because of the wildlife there.
