Fake TDAC Website Emerges as New System Debuts in Thailand

As someone said it isn't fake or a scam as it clearly(?)  states that it is a third party site.

I remember when I tried to do my TM30 for the first time I was met with a similar site. There the fact that it was a third party was quite cleverly hidden.

As with many official sites, there are commercial sites that pay Google for their site to be advertise and they often come before the main official site.

Why does this not come as a surprise. Just waiting for a fake website faking the fake website.

If visa service agencies make an extra THB 1,000 as a service provider by "assisting" the data entry on behalf and behest of a traveller, so be it - good on them.

Absolutely amazing what the goons at the immigration come up with all the time. Considering the data entry it makes you wonder, what on Earth they want to do with this data, apart from exposing millions and millions and millions of non-Thais to potential data theft and/or data misuse.

Welcome to Thailand, the country which never runs out of funny ideas 😉

For obvious reasons, I haven't looked and won't be looking at this fake site but I don't quite understand why anyone would bother with it assuming that you have to enter the same amount of information as on the official site. What's the incentive to pay to do the same job as you could do for free?

The only conceivable reason is that someone is unable/unwilling to do it in the 3 day window and wants to do it earlier rather that use the kiosk on arrival.

People running this Country are complete Idiots and never get anything right first time, or sometimes any time !   In the end there won't be anyone coming as they will all be visiting other Countries where the 'Authorities' are much more friendly and welcoming.   After all; who has ever met a smiling Immigration Officer saying nice words when they enter Thailand ?

Pretty sure they are targetting people who don't know you don't have to pay.

On no, the "goons" have come up with something that is free and takes you 2-3 minutes and makes your arrival better (eventually leading to e-gates in future).

Were the same "goons" responsible for bringing in electronic pre-arrival forms in Singapore, Malaysia, Cambodia, Israel, Belize, The UK, The EU, Jamaica etc etc.

You lot don't half make mountains out of tiny tiny molehills.

Clearly. The ignorance of such people who don't bother to find out often astounds me.

It's the same here in UK - people paying over the odds for things like driving licences by going to non-government sites.

I'm tempted to suggest that they're just lazy and deserve to have to pay!

Considering it came out almost at the same time as the government one suggests insiders developing both websites together. One for the government and one for themselves to make money.

The government one has been available for weeks.
