Extremes have no limits, same for those who entered the congress. Proud boys armed in the streets, should scare most people

Problem this., this half Russian bloke calling himself "Frank" is one of that mob.

He is successful , he is rich and confident , tall and handsome .

Does things HIS way and answers back to critics .

He is a showman who can hold an audience and keep them entertained . He has a supermodel European Wife

He is brave and not worried about offending anyone .

I hate him, because I wish that I could be like him , but here I am stuck in Thailand with a 3 rd world Wife .

I hate that Donald Trump .

Hes just like the people who used to bully me at school

Is he  really successful? I suppose as a father, he is a good and loving father. And as a friend, he does take care of them. Some will call it cronyism. However, as a business person and as a President, he has not been consistently successful. Multiple bankruptcies are not a measure of success. Nor is the stiffing of small independent contractors. As a President, he is a failure because of his inability to unite a nation or to do what is right when it needs to be done, i.e. taking the higher ground.

Doing things his way is not necessarily  a bad thing. It is a bad thing when it is inappropriate like ignoring the US Constitution, or having public temper tantrums or insulting people.

He is a mediocre showman on the same level as the 1980's televangelists who sold dreams and false promises. His staying power is as good as Ron Popeil's hair in a can spray.

His wife was not a supermodel. She was  a high school dropout,  generic model who came to the USA from eastern Europe under questionable means.

Brave isn't the word I would use for him. A relentless bully, brash, tough with a strong will to survive are more appropriate adjectives. He has no class.

Hating him is not worth the energy. I expect that his detractors are more likely to be embarrassed and ashamed of what he has done, than hateful.

I don't know why you make references to anyone's wife as you do know Trump's wife's own history.

And if he reminds people of a school bully, then they are most likely reasonable in their assessment.

The great Z-leader Vladimir Putin should help both democrats and republicans to defend their freedom. I think long range missiles should be OK for this purpose.

Bankruptcies are par for the course for successful businessmen. They do a lot of ventures. Some will fail. Only normal.

You can't really blame Trump for failing to unite a nation. Even Abraham Lincoln could not unite the US, but had to resort to a bloody war. The US is divided now, as it was before.

He is not a "mediocre" showman, as a showman he has no equal in politics. Even outside politics he was a succcessful showman.

I don't like his wife much either, but  to impugn her because she was not a supermodel, well, I mean that's somewhat funny.

One of the biggest problems is the media, who apparently seem to get their rocks off and make a lot of money portraying leaders as "fools". And people buy this overly simplistic nonsense.

Any idea how hard it is to run a country? It's not a lemonade stand. They are trying to make sure people have jobs. In this case, he's actually trying to figure out how to protect people from dying from fentanyl, but it's very complex. Running a country is extremely complex. It's much easier to sit on the sidelines and complain.

Here, if you can be bothered to watch this, YOU and every single person who complains incessantly, take a look at the complexity of the issue regarding drug cartels in Mexico. What would you do if you were Trump in this situation?

Of course it's complex! No one with a brain is denying that! However, it's not the way Trump presented it. So either he was too dumb to understand that, or he was knowingly lying.

Let's consider the drug problem you mentioned. It's certainly not by lying and addressing the wrong issues that he will solve this problem. For example, most drug enters through legal ports of entries, hidden in cars, trucks or train (and boats), and is not carried by illegal immigrants! So the only way to reduce drug trafficking is to increase the rate of controls (search, etc...) in legal ports of entry. Preventing illegal immigrants from entering the U.S. will likely reduce the number of illegal immigrants, it will not reduce the amount of drug smuggled.

The other issue is demand. What is Trump doing to reduce demand? It's certainly not his simplistic and show-business style policies which will decrease demand for drug.

It is also interesting that you never complained about people or media just sitting on the sideline and complaining during Biden's mandate (and in particular from Trump and the MAGAsphere). 🙂

Dishonesty – Frequent false or misleading statements; fact-checkers recorded thousands during his presidency.

Egoism/Narcissism – Often seen prioritizing personal image, loyalty, and praise over institutional norms or collective good.

Divisiveness – Rhetoric that has amplified political polarization, often using inflammatory language.

Disrespect for institutions – Undermined trust in media, judiciary, intelligence agencies, and the electoral process.

Impulsiveness – Tendency to act or speak without forethought, especially on social media.

Vindictiveness – Known for attacking critics, firing dissenters, and holding grudges.

Authoritarian tendencies – Admiration for strongmen leaders and attempts to expand executive power.

Lack of empathy – Perceived insensitivity in moments of national tragedy or crisis.

Racially charged statements – History of remarks widely condemned as racist or xenophobic.

Disregard for truth or norms – Willingness to ignore precedent, challenge election outcomes, and push unfounded conspiracy theories.

All that and he’s also a very cruel person, I think he gets off on being cruel.

What I find "fascinating" is that anyone takes the premise of this topic at all seriously.

It's without a doubt a disingenuous bait.

I won't answer his question because the premise of his question is a stinking tower of incredibly obvious distortions.

A clever gambit for sure, but not worthy of engaging with.

A smarter version of the usual "I'm not a Trumper", but....

He is definitely trying some new ideas and new ways of doing things. Not the same old ways of every other president.  On the tariffs and other economic things he has done I suggest giving him 6-12 months to see if they are working.  Factories and new jobs can't be made in a few months.  Elon Musk has opened the world's eyes showing how much corruption, theft, stupidity, and laziness can be easily found in most all branches of the US govt.  Sure, the media and people that were profiting from this are doing everything they can to make him look bad.  If half or more of his ideas work he will go down and one of the greatest recent presidents.  Give him time.    IMHO

Your IMHO is actually ITHO (a clue: T is orange). 🙂

Multiple bankruptcies are not par for the course of successful businessmen.

The state of the US union at this time is not anywhere near comparable to the crisis that Lincoln faced. Lincoln did not resort to a war. On the contrary, he reluctantly  was forced into a conflict that was started on April 12, 1861 when the Confederacy attacked  Fort Sumter.

Many people tuned in to watch the PTL Club, At one time Tammy Faye  and Jim Baker were successful TV personalities, and then one day they were not. No doubt for some Trump is a showman. However, for others he is not much more than a Carny sideshow hustler.

Not impugning Melania. Merely disagreeing with the description of her as a supermodel.  She never claimed to be special or carry on like other self important  Presidential spouses. I give her full credit for keeping a low profile and knowing her limitations and strengths.  I think she is a good mother and a good daughter, and believe that she is probably as tough as nails.

No political agenda needed, just common sense

He triggered some Chinese dude, who came up with Trump the Trannie with Tits snogging the Chinese Leader. Its a strange channel; nationalist Chinese but not communist.

Very well done AI. The MAGA song is catchy.

Well then,  you'll enjoy this homoerotic image the Whitehouse has put out. To think, there is an official Troll. Good use of taxpayer money after the DOGE days.

The problem is that whoever did this is not up on their Star Wars lore. Red light sabers were for the Sith, not the Jedi.

So you admit he is successful, you just have a problem with how he got there. That's progress. Because then motion that a man that flies in his own 747, lives on the coast of Florida in his own hotel and golf course, has golf resorts around the world isn't successful is a hard thing to argue. I forgot to add a two term POTUS.

Per the topic heading I do not have 'angst and unease' over Mr. Trump as President but I wish he was not. I moved to Thailand in 2004, and I am happy I did so as it seems the vox populi in America is capable of electing Trump as president TWICE.

I just read this from Mr. Trump's Meet the Press interview:

“Anything can happen,” he said. “But I think we’re going to have the greatest economy in the history of our country. I think we’re going have the greatest economic boom in history.”

I don't want to know what a President thinks things are gonna be -- I just want to know when they are.

Trump also said in that interview:

“I think the good parts are the Trump economy and the bad parts are the Biden economy because he’s done a terrible job.”

Roy Cohn at its best.

What do you build? I am actually curious and not trying to be a A-hole about this question. I build cabins in the USA.
