Frugal is always a good thing. Wasting money isn't a smart idea, as times get tough for everyone eventually. Also, the more money you save, the more you have for things you like, like women, food, weed, wine, beer and most important, your family.

He won't be the last old timer to be left with nothing after coming to Thailand looking for love in all the wrong places. Seems once guys hit 70+ years it's time for their Thai girls to take what they have and send daddy packing. Buyer beware.

I had a German Neighbour a few years ago,  best Neighbour u could ask for, he bought a House in his Thai wife's name  bought her a Car, and her Daughter a Car, what he didnt know was the wife  was  a Gambler,  playing Poker in undercover places, she  gambled, and lost  the house  on a poker table, the Car too. she told him she was going back to her Village for a weeks holiday, a few days after ...... A Thai man arrived at his house demanding that he leave as the House was now his, (poker winnings)    she had already trasfered the house into his name,  the German man now lives in a Room, iI see him regularly, he looks like a down and out, unshaven,  messed up clothes, the whole experience appears to have damaged him mentally....She's never to be seen again...

About half a dozen or so foreigners around me have lost several million baht due to wifes secret gambling. loads of them get into it...

Million baht he found his wife at the bar

Lots of men do- So what. It's the same in the UK & USA & Europe. We meet our wives in a pub. But here the cultural norms are slightly different.

The heading reads..... evicted from his home by his Thai wife without explanation

So there is a explanation, the is a penny less, deadbeat.

Maybe this important information should be included in the article

having reportedly been evicted fro m h0is home by his Thai wife without explanation..

Not really rare cases in Thailand.

I have known several other expats who met the similar fate.

One man was said to be  found as the rotting body in the straw shack near the home he bought for his Thai wife.

Another is the American man in his 70s who said that he was locked out of his wife's home after giving all of his money($200000).

He had lived in Chiang Mai apartment a few years after that.

But eventually had to go home.

Some women all over the world, not just in Thailand, when they take over all of their husbands’ money and put the house in their name, they get rid of the man who raised her status and gave her something that he owns.

Plenty of hotels in town.

Instructions...

1. remove credit card from wallet, check into hotel

2. go to ATM, withdraw cash, check into hotel

3. scan QR code at hotel reception

If you get booted out with just your clothes on your back you may not have your wallet with you.

Or wife has cleared the account?

Think about it.

My guess would be that this guy just rushed in to something without qualifying her sufficiently. Most men, in the US, Europe, and Oz, are no longer real men, when it comes to dealing with their women. Their women have made their lives so difficult, and alot of women have gotten so far away from their innate femininity, and have become dominant, and super controlling, and men just go along with it. Most men have become so hungry for love, or emotionally desperate for some kindness, and TLC. And most are so desirous of being around a real woman, who knows how to act like a woman, and manifest the dignity, within femininity. So, it is easy for con artists, to take advantage of emotionally wounded men, who seem to be willing to do anything to regain a semblance of normality in their lives, with a decent woman.

So always take your time, if it's good it's only going to get better, if it's bad the problems are going to start revealing themselves within a year or two. Never rush into anything, and if she pushes the timetable just push back, and if that doesn't work just walk.

After reading that you ALMOST convinced me to turn Queer in my twilight years.

The problem is from what I’ve read in Thai news is gay farang men can have the same problems gay Thai men.

One example.  As I recall, several years ago a farang was shot dead at point blank range by his supposedly Thai boyfriend in broad daylight in Jomtien.  On the entry road before it curves onto the beach near the police station.

I’ll roll the dice with the ladies.

When a Thai woman, married to a foreigner,  buys a property the foreigner has to sign documents at the land office that it isn't his money.

You're talking a lot of drivel, as usual

I think it may be you that is talking dribble! I built a house in Thailand (still own it and have my little yellow property book) and as my late Father in law reminded to my wife! "He built the house, he paid for the house so its his house, not yours"! I never had to sign anything and there was a paper trail for every screw, nail and tile etc I purchased. When you build a house, the house is yours the problem is the land it sits on. There is nothing stopping you from knocking it down. The amount of idiots I've come across who put every last thing in their new wife's name. Cars, motorbikes etc. Oh it was just easier!!!  Grown ass men can be so stupid sometimes.

Just for started, a yellow bok isn't a PROPERTY book, it is just a confirmation of your address. So clearly you have no diea what you're talking about, and not worth a response to the rest of your ignorant post
