At a guess I would see more than 90% of Thais not wearing masks.

It's about long Covid. Russian roulette if you don't keep up with vax & wear N95s in all crowded situations.

The local hospitals have been pushing vaccines at the local village level.  I'm not surprised at the spike.

There was a lot of resistance until the Prayut government mandated the mask wearing...even TV presenters required to wear a mask so their TV audience   didn't catch the "dreaded lurgy"..  makes sense right those presenters are only a matter of a few centimeters away from millions of viewers think of the contagion !!!

It is airborne so with the protection I got from wearing 2 masks on top of the regular vaccines I was able to avoid it.

Vaccines reduce the severity of the symptoms and also reduce infection spread.

I've always found that Thais have very weak immune systems.  They always seem to be quick to go to a pharmacy just for a poxy cold.  for most westerners i think we will just sit it out and man up.  i don't know if that's why they have such weak immune systems?  Maybe that's why there are so many pharmacies in Thailand cuz they can't wait to pop some pills for the smallest thing.

Their immune systems are not weaker, they are psychosomatic and easily spooked - all it takes is one FB post from a doctor and they all poop their pants and tighten their masks

Actually this says "A cloth mask worn over a surgical mask gives 95% protection against Covid" - surely they should be pushing a properly fitted N95 mask - and also advising against removal of facial hair in order to provide a better fit.

 

So I'm guessing this is an ancient history poster from the terror years of 2020/2021 ...
