Thai Controversies: The Emergence of Truth in Shocking Scandals

Fascinating how the 'big' cases never actually go away in this country.

With each turn of the political screw, a case reopens and the (same?) courts with the (same?) personnel reach new verdicts for new political masters ... Which rather raises the question where the money trails lead.

Of course the cyanide story was just an excuse - a convenient bolt-on - to go into detail about Thaksin. as the hate for him has never gone away here, has it? Anyway, sure, there's a fix, that's obvious to anyone - a deal was done between Thaksin and with the people who really control the country for their own self-interest. Thaksin wouldn't be here otherwise. As long as everyone in that one percent sphere and their inner circles get a share, then everyone is happy and all is forgiven (with Thaksin). And we know the Thai majority will never truly have a democratically elected, truly representative government. But look, just hating Thaksin is ignoring the 800 pound gorilla of army, corrupt amart and thai-chinese billionnaires (other than him) in the room.

Sheep are scared by the Shepherd's dog and always run in the opposite direction. It is almost unheard of that a Sheperd's dog physically attacked a sheep. The real threat is actually the Sheperd himself who leads his flock of sheep straight into the slaughter house.

Same with Thai voters and citizen - regretfully. Unlike the sheep, the Thai situation could be changed anytime but ignorance, corruption and the fear of losing face prevents Thailand to inch towards the 21st century - how sad!

Just because they publish a photo today showing a lack of medical equipment it doesn't prove a thing.

Simply because the equipment could have been provided in the room during his stay and then removed after he left.
