In the comments section it says that you need to press and hold the vertical swing button for three seconds till you hear a beep.

All Aircons are good when new ,only some last longer than others .there are good ones and not so good one from Every Major brand Aircon .

Got 3 different brand aircons  the Samsung is the only one not being replaced  (13yr). 🙏

We have  an inverter unit, nearly 12 years old, it runs 24 hours day for all that time.

It gets cleaned every 4 months and is still going strong

Buy a new universal remote control, a common issue with many makes.

Try a reset: Turn off the fuse box completely, wait 10-20 seconds! It sometimes works wonders! Remember: Even if the AC is turned off, electricity is flowing. Only turning off the fuse box completely will help!👍....and Reset the Remote too!

Daikin are the best, I have 3 units and service them at least once a year, never had a problem and 1 is 16 years old.
