Has anybody here suffered from pinkeye ?

i caught a dose about a week ago and both the eye clinic and local hospital were not that worried.

They prescribed drops and antibiotics and said wait it out and come back in a week.

i have found this quite surprising and as it has not abated, i am asking for other peoples experiences.

Had it, and it will pass on it's own.  I didn't even bother with meds or drops.

Antibodies may or may not help, depending if it is a viral or bacterial infection.

For bacterial, Cipro is available in TH, although, if not prescribed that already, do NOT, start using.   I actually did that once, even waited till the half life was supposedly well past, and started one penicillin based antibody after a previous one.  Big F'g mistake, and my only oops of self medicating for decades of.

Talk about muscle & joint pain ... Ouch.

Pink eye (if that is what you ،have) is often viral. But antibiotic drops may stiill be given as secondary bacterial infections can occur.

It can easily last 2 weeks.

If it goes much beyond that, an allergic rather than infective  origin may need to be considered.

I got minor conjunctivitis a couple weeks ago, coincidentally after I went to a hospital for an eye test and you use those machines, my guess is I caught it from a machine. We know they are good at cleaning floors but other things not so good
