Just recovered from it myself. Caught it in BKK.

Really bad cough, sore throat (painful to swallow), fever, shivering, aching body, bad headache, nasal congestion.

Symptoms were bad for 4 days, then moderate for 4 days. I just took Tylenol and cough mixture, plus a nasal inhaler.

Sounds exactly like the flu.

But are boosters still easily available in hospitals in Thailand?

We can only hope that they are , for the blind "follow the science" crowd,

lefties and Fauci apologist.

Personally I find it ironic.  Last month the local hospitals were pushing vaccinations and the villagers dutifully lined up to get their shots.  This month everyone is sick.  🤔  "Hummmm."

Very similar.

Main difference was the cough. Never had a cough that bad with flu.

Yes seems they are very reluctant to reveal these pertinent facts..wonder why ?

I'd also like to know how many times these fatalities have received

Covid-19 jabs..but  that would "infringe on their privacy"  so we will never know.,,how convenient    there were no such concerns about knowing vaccination status just a short while ago  if you wanted to go to a concert etc

hypocritical nonsense.

I’m a bit confused here.  So much talk about Covid, yes understandable.  However, when there are tons of flu cases, why is that not blazooned on MSM, and asking about the latest vaccines, and if the poor flu patients have received the latest flu jab?  Are schools closed due to the flu.  Online teaching due to the flu?  These days both those diseases seem to be similar in severance, they both have different strains each year.  Why are we getting so worked up over Covid still?

I'm not sure why some are still getting so worked up over it..surely anyone with an ounce of common sense has realised that it is not the end of the world as we knew it  and there is no need for a "new normal"   perhaps there are still a few brainwashed and still in  mass psychosis mode ?

Sad to hear that. This kind of COVID management (if it is true?) doesn't represent the outlined rules of any health department.

Why the brackets, I do not post false information.

As it happens it is my niece's birthday today and have heard she is in bed with Covid, but she is an obs & gyny surgeon.

Bit of a blow, she is finished at that hospital in a couple of days and starts a 3 year career development course next month.

So it's a good end of the story 👍

It is just the other way around: we should get as worked up over Influenza as we are over covid.

Unfortunately,  like most "people who do their own research" aka laymen, you have no idea what influenza is, and that not every respiratory infection (called a flu) is influenza.

BTW there has been a lot of influenza around lately, and those who got it don't like it. Not everything that you can survive is something enjoyable.

Those poor, abused kids - they will never know a life without masks. The only human emotions they understand are sadness and fear, visible via the eyes. Remember, these kids are FORCED to wear masks and have been for over 5 years now. This is pure insanity and if you still justify it then you are sick freak.

Absolutely agree. It will never go back to normal, because you can't comply your way out of tyranny. They'll do this again in 2026, 2029, 2030, 2035 and 2040. Every single time the kids go back to school, there will be panic, some new "variant" and calls to muzzle up and get tested and so forth and most of the children will comply. Thankfully, international schools don't take part in this insanity so at least international school students have a chance of living life normally but Thai public and private school students I feel sorry for.

In a recent update, Dr. Thira Woratanarat from Chulalongkorn University's Faculty of Medicine reported that COVID-19 cases have skyrocketed, now exceeding influenza cases by tenfold. This alarming trend was highlighted on Dr. Thira's Facebook post.

Who is this smirking usurper, this is hardly appropriate behaviour for such grave news, and where is our Dr Yong ?

Remember folks if it's not Dr Yong, they could well be wrong.
