If you got the passport while inside the country I'm pretty sure they move the 'paper passport insert' over to the new passport when you transfer the entry stamp to the new passport. I did this once a while back.

If you get the new passport while out of the country then my guess if that you need to do it again with the new passport in order to get the 90 day report and if I were doing this I would take the old passport along with me and say 'nothing changed'....then see what they say.

Recently, got a new passport, do i need to renew the Tm30?

Best that you ask your local immigration office, I think. Assuming that you obtained your new passport in-country, have you yet asked them to transfer existing stamps to it from your old passport?

You likely will not be able to file a 90-day report until you get a new TM30, as the passport number will not show that you've previously done a TM30.

Have got a new Passport last year, but no new TM30. Online 90 days still works perfect for me after first Report was done in person at Hua Hin Immigration.

I last year got a new passport at my Countries Embassy in Bangkok and went to Immigration to get the stamps transferred. I asked them about the Tm30 as well, they only asked if I live at the same address, which I acknowledged and they said no need. And they added only when you go abroad and come back you have to do a new Tm30.

As always TiT and YMMV

Ps: This was Buriram Immigration

I registered the Tm30 back in 2021 and I'm still living in the same rental. Recently, got a new passport, do i need to renew the Tm30?

I got a new passport earlier this year and did my 90 days/retirement about a month later, my TM30 is dated 2017 and I wasn't asked to do a new one.

My address in Pattaya remains the same as it was in 2017.

A few years back, but when I went to immigration to get the stamps transferred to my new passport I asked if they required another TM30 to be done. They said no. I have had no problems with online 90 day reports or extension renewals.

Provided you've taken the new passport to your IO to have the stamps transferred, then your new passport number will be changed on the system.

No need to file a new TM30 and no issue with further 90 day online reports.

However, if you haven't transferred the stamps to a new passport, then the 90-day online will not work.

That's logical and good news if true, but things being how they are. what will really matter for people what the situation is NOW for people doing this at their specific immigration office.

No idea what is meant by 'things being how they are' and 'what the situation is NOW'.

It's your local IO in the Province where you register as residing that will process/approve a TM30 or 90 day report.

Provided you update your office with any changes, such as a new passport, then you won't have any problems.

In the case of a new passport, they will transfer the stamps from the old passport and change the details on their system.

Sorry if I didn't communicate my point well enough.

As everyone should know, different immigration offices often have totally different enforcement policies, and reports of how things were in the past, even the recent past can be helpful, but you don't really know until you try things yourself.

Well, I certainly haven't read of different policies throughout Immigration offices with regard to transferring stamps to a new passport.

At the same time, they'll update your details with your new passport number.
