The really sad part about this whole situation is that the facts on the ground just do not support Trump's narratives nor his decision to send in the National Guard and Marines. There are maybe 200 or 300 people protesting at this point and as of now there are thousands of LAPD, National Guard, and Marines. Okay these protesters did get out of hand and they did create some damage, but the LAPD had it under control. Rather than address the reasons for the anger that these protesters have, Trump as usual is just simply trying to flex his incredibly weak and pathetic lack of muscles. The goon is just using this as an excuse to grandstand, and demonstrate his dictatorial tendencies. This will not end well for him, he may end up creating some sort of military parade to celebrate the victory, but his popularity will decline over this. The man is a nitwit and a juvenile bull in a China closet.

The Japanese use water cannons with indelible ink to mark the violent protestors.  Seems to work.

Personally, I prefer the flame thrower.

Worked great in WW2 getting the Nips out of their pillboxes and caves.

is this the beginning of mass chaos in US streets?

what with all the pent up anger for months on end about trump getting elected?

I think this is just the beginning as many struggle to put food on the table and lose access to medical care.

Marines Deployed as  federal site sitters!

They are protecting federal assets!

Somebody has to,Local law enforcement is in name only at times!

Local law enforcement cant even protect their own facilities  from the Insurgents.

https://www.yahoo.com/news/rioters-smash-windows-lapd-headquarters-150758427.html
https://taskandpurpose.com/news/marines-los-angeles-protests/

Story based on a task& purpose report with yahoo in support

They may be deployed but they are legally constrained from acting by the Posse Comitatus Act (1878).  They can stand there and look tough and that's about it.  Unless Trump invokes the Insurrection Act (10 U.S.C. §§ 251–255) and personally I don't think he has the sack to do that.  His constant flip-flopping on issues to create "strategic ambiguity" is a sign of weakness, not a sign of strength, and that applies to both domestic and foreign policy.  Trump had a chance to do some really pivotal actions domestically and internationally and at this point all he's done is show that his policies are a confused mess with little foresight and coordination.  Those who voted for him (I did not nor did I vote for Harris - both parties suck) and those who supported him during his first 100 days (I did) expected him to deliver on his campaign rhetoric:  End wars, rein in government spending and largess, and rein in the Leftist insanity to always ends in street violence.  What do we get?  We're about to walk into wars on at least three fronts and maybe four (Russia/NATO, China/Taiwan, Iran/Israel and if wars go hot expect Kim's DPRK to enter the fray on Russia/China side which I fully expect to end up in a fully scale world war, and as Elon Musk's spat with Trump is about, Trump has decided to engage in "Big Beautiful Spending" starting with increasing the freaking military budget to $1.2 freaking TRILLION dollars for More War plus God only know what other nonsense in that congressional monstrosity, all after DOGE set out to decrease government spending (and what do we get - a net increase in the US debt further screwing the US Dollar), and there is chaos in US blue cities as local government officials like Newsom and Bass literally endorse street violence to protect those who broke the law by entering the US illegally.

Trump is going to lose his base if he hasn't already. He has a mess on his hands and it's his own fault.
My guess is before the end of the summer, he'll listen to the war-hawks in his cabinet and just go to war.

I suppose Trump could fly all the illegal alien Mexicans to the UK and drop them off there.

From the posts I keep reading by the forums UK citizens, they would welcome all of them.

Yes the Marines have landed for guard duty detail !

What ever Trump does to avoid what Walz avoided in Minnesota in 2020 is ok by me!

Conspiracy!!!  People in Palm Springs are handing their house and car keys to homeless people.   A box of cereal is now $4000 in LA.   Over 100 million on alert, it's crazy....

and in a small dark room, thousands of miles away, a group of four sharpen their pencils and get to work.

lol

(insert crazy screaming in fear)

(girls in bikinis running down the street, screaming)

If that happened. The left's infamous words “mostly peaceful “ just might prove to be accurate.

At this rate the general fear or hesitation of whispering possible civil war might disappear sonner or later. I think Trump is impervious to the possibility of protests becoming armed and organized into anti-Trump/MAGA militias a year or so from now. Hope not, but I wouldn't discount it, that's for sure.

I never mentioned that the demonstrations are justified.  Same goes for those demonstrating against rounding up illegals.  I just mentioned the potential for more widespread rioting.  You keeping posting about the fraud that Musk and his DOGE was supposed to stop, but did not.

Elon makes them Flamethrower — The Boring Company

Paintguns with paint like on stolen money to mark the rioters would do.

I believe the more Trump sides with the wealthy the more he fuels the fires of discontent.

He has a history of ripping off the working class and they tired of it.  Many who have served our country in uniform feel they have been short changed and now believe it's time for payback.

Still in progress

Just like the Ukraine, Israel/Hamas conflict and the Iran nuclear program. Still in progress.

Firing people that are supposed to cut the corruption and wasteful spending is just plain stupid.  Many hired to implement DOGE are leaving.  What now.  Oh yeah, I forgot.  Still in progress.
