A devastating fire erupted in a paper warehouse along Khlong Phasi Charoen in Bangkok, claiming two lives and leaving several individuals injured or missing. The blaze broke out at 3am on June 10, prompting a swift response from emergency services led by Police Lieutenant Nikhon Hao-bun of the Nong Khaem Police Station.

The fire engulfed the single-storey warehouse situated in Soi Liab Khlong Phasi Charoen 20/2 in the Nong Khaem district. Firefighters from Nong Khaem Fire Station were dispatched, and it took approximately an hour for them to bring the fire under control.

Tragically, initial reports confirmed that two individuals, as yet unidentified, perished in the inferno due to severe burns. Two other people sustained injuries and have received medical attention. The search for another missing person is ongoing, with responders anticipating a prolonged operation.

Heavy machinery, including backhoes, is being employed to move compacted paper bales as firefighters work tirelessly to extinguish residual flames and secure the scene.

Meanwhile, police, along with the forensic science division, have launched a comprehensive investigation to uncover the cause of the fire. Their efforts will focus on gathering evidence and testimonies to ascertain the circumstances leading to this tragic event. As the community comes to grips with the loss and disruption, authorities remain dedicated to resolving the incident and ensuring safety measures prevent future occurrences.
