I have been emailed Assumption about their MBA program but the responses are very confusing. They seem not to understand my questions.

Wonder if anyone has any insights....?

They list a Fast Track MBA

https://www.grad.au.edu/mba-fast-track

It says "1.5-2 years to complete".    But the brochure indicates 3 Semesters  (May - Aug; Sep-Dec; Jan-Apr).

Below that they list Study Plan (4 for Thesis and 5 for non-Thesis).   The "Terms" seems to be groupings of courses.

I am trying to figure out the difference or relationship between the Semester and Term.   It does seem that you can complete the MBA in a 1 year time frame although it spreads over 2 calendar years.  I also wonder if you can enter during any semester.

The responses from AU are confusing.... i think its a translaton issue...

I took something similar but in UK. The claim there also was that you can complete in short time, but that would mean studying more than 1 subject at the same time. OK, if you are a full time student, but if you are studying while working, that would require extreme discipline. So - likely what that means is that you could do several courses simultaneously. In my university they had start of program at the beginning of each semester. Obviously this is generic answer, can't speak for AU. Probably best to get someone on the phone to explain rather than just checking their website.

From personal experience about 20 years ago - the registration office at ABAC is not the best service giver. I recommend going there in person and shake every person in the office until you get full answers. You have to be persistent.

I completed BBA in 5 years (instead of the standard 4) while working full time + raising a family. At ABAC for Batcheler degree one must take at least 4 courses per semester in order to be a full time student. Not sure how they consider MBA students though.

Agree. Could also be a week-end only program - classes all day Sat and Sun.

I got a better explanation in Messenger Chat bu they are referring me to someone... response below.  To me it seems then that because you take only 2-3 courses a semester and there are 3, you may end up taking all the coursework over 4-5 semesters (ergo 1.5-2 years).   But curious why.... seems a light load...

- Semesters vs. Terms Our academic calendar follows 3 semesters per year: May–August September–December January–April The term “Terms” as mentioned in the brochure (4 or 5, depending on thesis or non-thesis option) refers to the number of semesters required to complete the program, not to different course structures. Non-Thesis Track: Typically completed in 4 semesters Thesis Track: May require 5 semesters, including time for research and writing

- Duration Although the program runs across 3 semesters per year, the expected completion time is 1.5 to 2 years because: Students generally take 2–3 subjects per semester, depending on workload and availability Some courses may only be offered in specific semesters, requiring thoughtful academic planning The thesis track includes time for proposal development, research, and defense

- Flexible Entry Yes, students can start the program in any semester, including September–December, and continue with January–April, then May–August. The program is designed to be flexible and accommodates new intakes each semester. We’d be happy to walk you through the credit plan, course availability, and help create a personalized study timeline.

If you want to join their MBA program, why would you not write your questions down and go there and ask directly?
