I thought you said you were sick of it.

I like Pattaya nightlife, but not drunk morons, germans, low class brits, dumb bargirl stories, working class guys from india, beaches as public toilets, etc etc.

They often go together, but they are not the same thing...

In other words, there are parts I like and don't like. I can't decide if the good outweighs the bad. That's why I was curious if things had gotten "worse" then a year ago.

Yeah  thats not very accurate though... just ramblings of a drunk moron.

Sorry, it was a joke.

Probably a good idea not to base any major life decisions on Lewie's threads.

Ok, so we may need to narrow it down.

Tell us which bars you like to hang out and we'll do some reconnaissance and let you know if there are any Germans, low life Brits, or drunk morons or freelancers there.

Freelancers are Ok as long as they don't have a dumb bar girl story and look presentable. Guys from India are a no, as well as loud brits. I will pass on any german who likes hot dogs as well, especially if they are a cop or Nazi.

Let me know what you find and I will consider checking it out...

The OP could always move to the famous 'Beverley Hills of Pattaya' area in Pratumnak, where a much better class of Indian sleeps and defecates on the beach.

Jomtien / Na Jomtien is fine...but very quiet at the moment.

I was in (central) Pattaya for the last two weeks of May.

And even there it was unusually quiet.

Much less traffic was a positive one.

Even used the car a few times.

Now it seems absolute low season.

That's what I prefer. How long do you think that will last? 6 more months?

Sure not 6 months. That would be December one of the high season months.

After the rainy season ending in October things go up.

Be specific, there are 3 BigC's in Pattaya, although I suspect you mean Pattaya Klang. Bring a safety hat, the ceiling is about to give up!

Come on!

Turn right and use the other walkway.

But in a safety aware country they would have cordoned off the area. Really looks strange.

You confused me, I usually come in from the carpark, so would need to veer to the left. I think I am disturbing other shoppers as I crane my neck to look upwards and they follow suit!

From the car park?

is there more than one entrance from the car park?

Otherwise straight to the walkway.

Will check next time 😄

Turn right refers to the main entrance from Klang.

Yes i have seen Indians  sleeping on the Beach, so presumably they"re  using it as a Toilet too, but Pattaya Beach has been used as a Toilet for many many years by  Taxi drivers, Tourists, and the Lady's of the night, especailly  close to the walking st end of the Beach

It's not really an area where I would be comfortable having a picnic on the sand...

Ditto for Jomtein and the whole area basically. I was never really comfortable with the beach scene around Pattaya. The vibe was just not right. Maybe because of the chairs out there with people watching me, food scraps from places and kind of grungy food places where people have been eating and drinking beer, etc. It's surprising since I like a beach and am from Southern California, but I never found that nice seaside beach scene anywhere around Pattaya.
