Unlikely to find one here mate - and you are likely to be ripped off on price too.

Perhaps you can do something yourself by checking websites like this one.

https://www.mercedesmedic.com/

I bought one of those OBD2 scanners years ago in Australia for my CLK280 - brilliant and easy to use.

Thanks for the reply, using a system analyzer/diagnostic tool to find the problem is one thing. to fix the fault is another,

It's not such a hard fault to fix, and as for ripping me off, when I find the right guy, I'll know how to deal with him/them

being an old hand in Thailand,

Maybe i should look for a solution in BKK.

I hear you - but the OBD2 reader can tell you if it is a minor problem or not - good ones tell you what is needed to fix the problem.  I also agree about BKK - you are more likely to find a decent mechanic there - but finding them is the problem - and a long trip to get there.  There is likely to be a decent mechanic in Chonburi somewhere who can diagnose and repair older Mercedes cars - good luck.

If you are in the Pattaya area, there are/use to be garages along the railway line road (on the darkside) that will probably know.

I had a driver friend who bought up old Mercs and did them up in the Patts area so people who can fix them are around.

What about ask at Collinborn Auctions (if they are still in Patts.)

Thanks, I'll go out there to look for it.
