In W.D. Smart's book (Amazon under author's name), the author discusses the rise of technology and the fall of mankind. Do any of you trust the answers from AI?

How can we discern what writing, what music, what film is made by algorithms? It comes down to personal decision: Do you trust people or do you trust machines?

AI is going to lead to mass unemployment. Tech billionaires already rule us and there's no trickle down for food, shelter, clothing, education, medical treatment. Keeping the self in selfish, golden toilets.

If you aspire to no longer be a slave, read this book! (Incidentally, it's free of copyright but there are several books with the same title.)

AI is not supposed to replace normal jobs. The plan is to have tens of thousands of AI bots posing as underage on the Internet, thereby freeing FBI agents for other work.

The funny part (the arrests) will still be done by overzealous male cops who can later tell of the story as a joke to their obese wives and kids over dinner.

The pedos-scums-of-the-Earth-monsters who texted "hello how are you" to the underage bots will appear before an AI court though, in order to secure a 100% conviction rate with sentences ranging from 123 to 247 years without parole.

The fears regarding AI are much exaggerated IMO.

I read a book years ago (forget title) about how the industrial revolution would result in mass unemployment.  How the car would put massive numbers of people whose jobs were feeding, caring for, using horses would lose their jobs.  I think the discussion was how buggy whip makers would have no jobs.

I have no idea what impact AI will have but we've had the sky is falling declared before about advances in technology.  Guess those of you born after 1990 might live long enough to see.
