No, this way of thinking does not take into consideration that there's no universal standard. In your home country cannabis has been decriminalized, it's considered a medicine, wonderful. But in country X, cannabis is still stigmatized, it's seen as a harmful drug that destroys the youth, not only that they created an expensive way of catching and arresting the possible violators to this. You country's standard is NOT universal!

Duh!  I come from the UK . cannabis is and always has been illegal, 45 minutes away is Holland were cannabis is effectively legal. I made many trips there but was never stupid enough to try smuggling anything back to the UK.  Its a  simple matter  to establish the legality . I thank the lord daily that my countries attitude to cannabis  is not universal

Because now  actions can be taken  against irresponsible shop owners. It's like the bar regulations. Get enough complaints and there is an enforcement action.

You got the list? I mean, isn't pain on the list? I need major joint surgery. There is pain. I need a joint replaced (no pun intended). This is not adequate? They're really going to require we're dying of cancer? This place has really taken a step back to the 1950s. Very disgusting. I'm going on a ganja run today. Ministry of Public Health issued the list yesterday with the form... i think i'll pick one a month lol

 

The 15 eligible conditions include chronic pain, muscle spasms, joint pain, cancer, nausea, epilepsy, Parkinson’s disease, asthma, insomnia, anxiety, depression, and Alzheimer’s disease.

When are they going to set up this licensing bull<deleted>? When will they publish to the Royal Gazette? I assume they are closing down all dispensaries and it will take them like a year to figure out how to get a licensing scheme in place. I'm stocking up, to put it mildly. 

 

Chronic pain, muscle spasms, joint pain, nausea, insomnia, anxiety. If I report this, does my insurance company see this? Do I get dropped potentially by insurance? I doubt it. But god know. Are there going to be monthly limits? What are they? Can I pick my strain?

 

This is so backward thinking. Alcohol is fine. Bars everywhere. But this is somehow more dangerous. Oh, and I can get kratom, which is basically an opiate. I can buy that online. But cannabis is somehow worse. Oh, and they dusted off the old "cannabis addiction" mythology. We're back in the bad old days of Anslinger. Thais don't know the American history of cannabis prohibition. Same propaganda, different language.

2. No smoking in the shops

3. Medical cert. not currently required (form in process of being designed)

4. No advertising at all.

The question is, will a prescription be a blank check to buy the kind of cannabis I like from whichever source I see fit? If it means all I'm allowed to do is buy a particular overpriced cannabis oil from a pseudo-pharmacy, that will be the end of legal cannabis in Thailand as far as I'm concerned.
