Biden did not get thrown out, he was still the President until he handed the reigns over to Trump.

I saw him say it live watching on the net. "No fkn way" or words to that effect I believe was my reaction. So what I'm saying is no one believed it could be done in a day. I thought that was obvious so your comment is way off the mark. No surprise there.

I do recognize this was trump’s push and was successful. I base my thinking on the NATO members themselves recognizing this. There are follow-up thoughts … what is 5% spending for the USA  and are we spending in that already? (remember all NATO nations called on to meet the 5% financial support). Do keep in mind also that the USA has some 800 global bases so… are NATO members expected to pick up part of the costs for the total or limited to the defense of NATO responsibility?

NATO had to respond especially when Trump threatened not to recognise Article 5. As for is the US spending 5% I don't know but it's close to $1 trillion for 2025.

American presidents have been asking for this for decades. But as there is a war going on now. Europe is under threat and was quite easy to convince. They had already started the planning for increasing weapon production as America is NOT to be thrusted under Trump. It will not be long before all arms will be produced in Europe as they are more than capable of doing so. Licking Trumps fat a** is for the time being sadly necessary. His narcissism and ego is so tender he must be treated like a baby for not crying and having an anger tantrum.
