That's a rather misleading statement, maybe in Bangkok where the resident population is substantial but certainly not in the resort regions like Phuket, Samui etc etc. The current real problem is there are just too many restaurants because the authorities exercise no control but thats Thailand isn't it! . New restaurants just keep opening so obviously when low season comes around many go out of business. It will continue like this until city Mayors start implementing control of new business's starting up, its called "Town planning"

that prices increase only 5% , what you mean its more ??  sure its more,5% is conservative , streetstores increase by 10thb min, thats a 15-20% increase

i dont need tradingeconomics, for knowing bettween end of pandemic and today 3 years 

 

food and beverage prices increase more than the offical total inflation (Cpi) , than you need sub data, but even 3 year  cpi inflation would be more than 5% , but food and beverages would outpace by 2-3 x

 

open mind for ..................... and why everybody is complaining " thailand getting expensive??"   555  than no reason if only less than 5% increase, thailand is very competetive
