US SS Bank change requires this now

Forget about using the My Social Security website. The applicant must have an ID certification from the US Embassy in Bangkok.  When completed that must be sent via hard copy to FBU Philippines along with banking info.  The ID  certification can be done via regular mail.

Changes to existing Direct Deposit instructions (new/different bank)?

Just checked it for next month and it worked okay. You do have to use Login.gov now.

This applies to any bank changes for SS direct deposit in countries served by FBU Manila.
