Accident Emergency Drama: Kuwaiti Biker's Accident Shakes Pattaya Night

A late-night motorcycle crash in Pattaya turned chaotic when a group of friends overwhelmed emergency responders, leading to a dramatic scene. The incident, involving a young Kuwaiti tourist, occurred shortly after midnight today in Soi VC, South Pattaya.

 

Emergency services from the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Rescue Unit arrived at 12.06 am following reports of a single-vehicle accident. They found a black Honda PCX on its side with minor damage. The rider, aged between 18 and 25, suffered a minor leg injury. He was conscious and receiving treatment when his friends arrived in a frenzy.

 

About ten friends, described by witnesses as “panicked and disorganised,” swarmed the injured man, even attempting to lift him into the ambulance themselves. This interference forced rescue workers to intervene and restore order, allowing the medical team to transport the injured biker to Pattaya City Hospital.

 

Police later stated the crash resulted from the rider losing control of the bike. Local reports highlighted he was not wearing a helmet, further complicating the situation.

 

This incident occurs amidst a backdrop of rising tension in Pattaya, as numerous Kuwaiti students flock to the area during July and August for its beaches and vibrant nightlife. However, there have been increasing complaints about reckless behaviour, particularly involving motorbike racing.

 

In response, Pattaya police initiated a late-night crackdown at 2.50 am, merely hours after the crash. Officers focused on Soi Yensabai and surrounding areas, targeting violations like modified exhausts, unlicensed riders, and illegal bikes. Fourteen motorbikes were confiscated in the operation.

 

Local residents have voiced frustration, with one saying, “The noise is constant. They race up and down the street; it’s impossible to rest.”

 

Residents allege these groups often use lookouts to evade police, hiding bikes and fleeing on foot during checkpoints, only to return once the coast is clear.

 

Pattaya police have promised tougher measures to bring order back to the popular resort town. The continued partnership with residents and strict enforcement hopes to address the ongoing challenges faced by this bustling community.

 

As Pattaya grapples with these issues, the balance between tourism and local life remains a priority, ensuring safety and enjoyment for both residents and visitors.

From what cause? Drunkenness for example given the early morning time and locality but no breathalyzer test?

The driver didn't say the cause nor it seems the police cared.

Why? Because many Middle Easterners tend to be unstable One only needs to Google characteristics caused by inbreeding and then Google the stats of inbreeding in the Middle East.  You can draw your own conclusions.

Then tell them to go ride bikes in Kuwait. They won't do that in Kuwait but treat Thailand as a lawless play thing.
