I was visiting the home of a female Thai acquaintance of my wife today. I had not met either her, or her French husband (who happened to be out of town), before.

Looking for a bathroom, I accidentally opened the door to the husband's study. I could hardly believe what I saw: a huge Nazi flag hanging behind his desk chair, plus oil pantings of Hitler on two walls. On the desk was a book in French titled something about how the Holocaust was all a Jewish lie.

I truly felt sick to my stomach, but didn't know exactly what to do. I asked the wife if her husband was a Nazi -- she obviously had never heard the word before. I mentioned the paintings of the man in uniform with the little moustache, to which she giggled and said that her husband "likes him so much". Other than that, she was clueless.

So, what would you all have done?

PS: I wonder how this guy's "hero" would feel about him having a Thai wife and a mixed-race son?

I overheard once on Kho Samui 2 German guys making racist comments about the darkskinned Thai women at their table, adding how 'Adolf' would disapprove but she was still good enough for a screw.

I felt to intimidated by the toughlooking guys, and sensed nobody would understand and help, so I kept my mouth shut and walked away with a sick feeling in my stomach.

OK Adolf was not everybodies cup or tea but if the guy wants a backdrop of a Nazi flag and a couple of oil paintings of the man himself so what of it.

Should have told me! I would be more than willing to do the job, look for some Thai gangsters, tell them, and perhaps a little bit of tea money. It might seem a bit of a dirty way, but I believe it's right to be dirty to dirty people.
